Chinatown’s Mid-Autumn Moon Festival & Parade

The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival and Parade started out with cold and windy weather. Despite waking up early on this day, I still had fun helping out at the event. During this event the other volunteers and I had to help with setting up, running the activities, and at the end, packing up. When the festival started, I helped hand out gifts to people that passed by. Even though the weather wasn’t warm or hot, I felt happy when I saw the smiles on the little children’s faces when they received a keychain I was handing out. When the lunch break arrived, all the volunteers were served delicious Chinese food. There were so many different options and types to choose from that it all took up two big tables. Overall, this event was really fun and exciting that you wouldn’t even be bothered by the cold and windy weather.-Cathy 6 Yang, member
