MASTER OF DEVELOPMENT PRACTICE The Master of Development Practice (MDP) is designed for students intending to embark on their career, as well as for mid-career professionals seeking to advance their skills, knowledge, and capacities for dealing with the challenges faced by development practitioners across local, regional, national and global levels in both developed and developing countries.

WHAT YOU STUDY
The Master of Development Practice offers a unique, multidisciplinary approach to advancing the knowledge and skills of students who seek to obtain a better understanding of the challenges of development in the contemporary context.
Development Practice at UQ offers courses that combine approaches and perspectives from: Community Development; Planning and Governance in Urban, Regional and Environmental Contexts; Theory and Methods of Evaluating Development Projects and Plans for Social Development; and the Politics of Global Development.
Taught by internationally recognised researchers, the courses bring together aspects of community level development, urban and regional planning, social planning, and political analysis from local to global levels.
You can choose to focus on one of the following four themes of study: • Community Development • Development Planning • Politics of Global Development • Planning for Social Development Development Practice offers a suite of postgraduate programs (including a Graduate Certificate and a Graduate Diploma).
