MARCO POINTNER Veranstalter | Organizer Vom 10. - 12. Juni 2022 werden die weltweit besten Biker im olympischen CrossCountry und Downhill bei uns in Saalfelden Leogang um die Weltcup-Trophäen kämpfen. Wir konnten bereits bei der UCI Mountainbike-Weltmeisterschaft 2020 und beim erstmals in der Region ausgetragenen Doppel-Weltcup im vergangenen Jahr unter Beweis stellen, dass Events auch in diesen schwierigen Zeiten möglich sind. Umso mehr freuen wir uns darauf, endlich auch wieder zahlreiche Zuschauer, die die Athlet:innen entlang der Strecke anfeuern, vor Ort begrüßen zu dürfen und mit uns gemeinsam ein wahres Mountainbike-Fest zu feiern. Ich bedanke mich ganz besonders beim Organisationsteam, bei allen Helfern, Sponsoren, dem Sportministerium, dem Land Salzburg, dem ÖRV, den Funktionären und den Grundstücksbesitzern, ohne deren Einsatz ein solches Event nicht möglich wäre. The world’s best bikers in Olympic Cross-Country and Downhill will compete for the World Cup trophies here in Saalfelden Leogang from the 10th until the 12th of June. We have already proved at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championship 2020 and the double Word Cup, which has been held in the region for the first time last year, that events are possible even when times are hard. We are looking forward to hosting an event, where spectators are allowed again, who can cheer for the athletes along the course, greet them at the venue and celebrate a true mountain bike festival together with us. I’d like to thank the organizing team, all volunteers and helpers, sponsors, the Ministry of Sports, the province of Salzburg, the Austrian Cycling Association, the officials and the property owners. Without the commitments of each of them, such an event wouldn’t be possible. KORNEL GRUNDNER Veranstalter | Organizer Seit einem Jahrzehnt ist Saalfelden Leogang erfolgreicher Austragungsort des UCI Mountainbike Downhill Weltcups und 2012 sowie 2020 der MTB-WM. 2021 wurde erstmals in Leogang ein MTB Doppel-Weltcup ausgetragen. Es freut uns natürlich ganz besonders, dass der Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike Weltcup nun schon eine so lange Geschichte im EPIC Bikepark Leogang geschrieben hat und wir in diesem Jahr ein weiteres Kapitel hinzufügen dürfen. Das Weltcup-Wochenende gibt Saalfelden Leogang einmal mehr die Chance, den Status als Österreichs Mountainbike Top-Spot zu festigen. Wir haben über Jahre hinweg viel investiert, haben uns als verlässlicher Partner der UCI entwickelt und können so einmal mehr unseren Status als BikeDestination unterstreichen. Die Auszeichnung als bester Downhill Weltcuport im gesamten Weltcupzirkus im vergangenen Jahr hat uns dahingehend bestätigt. Nach 10 Jahren der harten Arbeit hat uns diese Auszeichnung natürlich sehr gefreut. Wir blicken positiv in die Zukunft und freuen uns schon sehr auf die Weltcup-Rennen mit vielen Fans vor Ort und eine außergewöhnliche Bike-Saison 2022! For a decade, Saalfelden Leogang has already been a successful venue for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, and in 2012 and 2020 for the MTB World Championships. In 2021, Leogang hosted a double MTB World Cup for the first time. We are especially proud that the Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup already has such a long history in the EPIC Bikepark Leogang and that we can add another chapter this year. The World Cup weekend gives Saalfelden Leogang once again an absolute fabulous chance to establish its status as Austria’s top mountain bike region. Over the past years, we have invested a lot, developed as a reliable partner of the UCI and can therefore emphasize our status as top bike destination. The fact that we won the award as the best downhill World Cup location in the entire World Cup Circus last year, has proven us right in this respect. After ten years of hard work, we were tremendously pleased to receive this award. We are looking forward to the future and to the World Cup races with a lot of fans at the venue and to an extraordinary bike season 2022! 2

2009 wurde Nino Schurter der jüngste XC-Weltmeister aller Zeiten. 2021 streift er sich das Regenbogen-Jersey als ältester MTB-Athlet der Geschichte über. Dazwischen liegen zwölf Jahre und neun WM-Titel, oder anders ausgedrückt: Dominanz auf ganzer Linie, völlig unabhängig vom Alter. Nino Schurter und das Spark RC – die Erfolgsstory setzt sich fort.

NATIONAL FEDERATION AND TEAM AREA National Federations, UCI Elite Teams and UCI Teams will be allocated areas according to their UCI ranking. The ground surface of the area is gravel or asphalt. All Marquees must be suitably weighted or pegged. A dedicated bike wash area will be on-site. It’s not permitted to wash bikes at the team area. Overnight security is provided at the venue by the organiser. The security team will be roaming the team/tech village.
Nevertheless, please lock away everything important, especially over night! Also keep in mind that your car is not a safe place to store your bike! Keep our event area and the Epic Bikepark Leogang area clean! General waste containers are located throughout the venue. Please ensure that your team space is kept clean and free of rubbish.

INFORMATION MEDICAL
A fully dedicated Medical team will be in attendance during all official practice and competition times. The Medical team will consist of a Doctor, Paramedics and First Responders. These resources will be strategically located on course as well as at the Medical marquee located in the venue. ANTI-DOPING
The Anti-Doping facility will be located only a short walk away from the finish line. See overview venue. Riders identified for testing are asked to walk with their chaperone and team manager to the Anti-Doping Venue. AWARD CEREMONIES
Award ceremonies will take place on the main stage in the finish area. Towels and sealed drinking water will be provided for athletes. Due to limited space only one support staff member will be permitted into this area to assist preparing the athlete for award ceremonies. CAMPING
A reservation for the camping area is required! The camping area is located at the parking space of the Steinberg lift. It is only a 10-minutes walk from the event area. WEB & SOCIAL MEDIA

Together we want to set an example and organize the major event in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. Each of us can contribute and help to keep our region and landscape as livable as it is • Separate your garbage – Use the different garbage cans for waste separation • Take with you what is yours – doesn’t matter whether it’s drinking bottles, backpacks, coolers, or your camping tents • Buy regionally and seasonally • Use the MTB World Cup App – so you are always up to date, even without flyers • Keep our event area and the Epic Bikepark Leogang area clean! WHAT IS A GREEN EVENT?
Our event received this certificate from the Federal State of Salzburg and therefore sets its priorities on regional value creation, waste minimization, energy efficiency and social responsibility. Thus, not only waste should be avoided through a deposit system for drinking cups, but it also contributes to waste separation by means of different garbage cans. The offer of public transport also makes a significant contribution to a sustainable event.
