“RECREATING A SENSE OF CHILDLIKE PLAYFULNESS, YANGSEON COMBINES SPONTANEOUS BRUSHWORK WITH LIVELY COLORS, RESULTING IN ENERGETIC AND DYNAMIC COMPOSITIONS. HER SWOOPING BRUSHWORK PAINTS A WISTFUL DELUGE OF VIVID MEMORIES.”
Henry Woolway
Hailing from Cornwall, England, multidisciplinary artist Henry Woolway explores concepts of contrast, control, and chaos in his monochromatic paintings, wall hangings, sculptures, and works on paper. Henry’s work is imbued with the aesthetics of Scandinavian and European design and culture and emphasizes the value of form over function.
Henry is a self-taught artist based out of Liverpool. His work has been included in several auctions and gallery shows across England.
“My paintings are memories, fragmented and warped over time, brought back together, patched up, and reconsidered. My process involves creating a finished work, layering and building up the materials on the canvas, cutting or tearing parts away, and then stitching these pieces together to create something entirely new from something once whole.”
