Written by Joe Russo, Extraction 2 will release on June 16, 2023.

Maidaan

Inspired by the Indian national football team coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim, who is regarded as the architect of Indian football.

Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao star in Maidaan, directed by Amil Sharma. Look for it in theaters beginning on June 23, 2023

Adipurush

Based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, depicting the triumph of good over evil, Adipurush is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Trupti Toradmal. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu the movie is set for release on June 16, 2023.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Harrison Ford returns in his fifth outing as the famed adventurer in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which also stars Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, and Mads Mikkelsen. In this final outing, archaeologist Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of history. The movie, directed by James Mangold, is out on June 30, 2023.

Neeyat

When guests start dropping dead at exiled billionaire Ashish Kapoor’s birthday getaway, detective Mira Rao must unravel devious motives as the suspects are Kapoor’s close friends and family. Vidya Balan, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, and Shahana Goswami star in the film directed by Anu Menon. The film begins streaming on July 7, 2023.

Oppenheimer

The story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb. Cillian Murphy stars as the protagonist along with Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr., directed by Christopher Nolan. Look for it on July 21, 2023.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

The Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer now has a release date. It will be released around Eid in 2024. The action-packed film will also star Prithviraj Sukumaran and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Kumar’s other upcoming projects include the Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat where he portrays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Gadar 2

Set against the backdrop of India’s independence, Gadar was a love story that wooed the hearts of many. Director Anil Sharma is now back with the sequel of the film titled Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, who was a child artist in the prequel and essayed the role of Tara and Sakeena’s son. The film is slated to release on August 11, 2023, close to India’s Independence Day owing to its patriotic theme. The original Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released in 2001.

Raajeev’s Corner

A couple of months ago, my wife casually mentioned that she was invited to participate in a fashion show called Fabulous Moms. It would be a showcase featuring about 25 moms and would be at the Sheraton Cerritos in the Los Angeles area a week before Mother’s Day. She wanted my opinion about participating in it. I am a proponent of trying out new things that are out of your comfort zone, if they are not life-threatening and don’t cost an arm and a leg.

I was supportive. I could also sense that she really wanted to do it. Not just supporting her but encouraging her was the right thing to do.

To be honest, I didn’t think it was a big deal. It was not a fashion show in Milan. Let’s face it. Cerritos is not Milan or Paris. This show was catering to an Indian audience. Cerritos and Artesia, both suburbs of Los Angeles, are part of Little India. There wouldn’t be any press or major publicity.
