The series is produced by Graphic India and was created by Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang and Charuvi P. Singhal. The series was a breakout success in India and is also the first animated series to be listed in the Ormax Media chart of top shows and movies, which is usually only for live action productions. The Legend of Hanuman is streaming in 7 languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam and Kannada as well as in English subtitles. RRR

RRR is a fictitious story about two legendary revolutionaries and their journey away from home before they started fighting for their country in 1920’s. The ensemble cast includes NT Rama Rao Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Buddhadev. The film, directed by SS Rajamouli, opens later this year.

Director Cary Foji Fukunaga directs Daniel Craig in his final appearance as James Bond. In the film, James Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when Felix Leiter, an old friend from the CIA, turns up asking for help, leading Bond twentieth century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in “The French Dispatch Magazine”. Wes Anderson (The Darjeeling Limited) directs Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, and Bill Murray, along with a huge ensemble cast. The film opens on October 22.

Maidaan is inspired by the Indian national football team coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim, who is regarded as the architect of Indian football. Ajay Devgn leads the cast that includes Priymani. The Amit Sharma directed film is slated to open on October 15.

Khufiya, inspired by true events and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is based on the popular espionage novel Escape to Nowhere by Amar Bhushan. It is a story about Krishna Mehra, a RAW operative who is assigned to track down the mole selling India’s defense secrets. All along, grappling with her dual identity of a spy and a lover. The film stars Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. The film will debut and stream on Netflix.

Veteran actors Danny Denzongpa and Sarika join Amitabh Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra and others for director Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film Oonchai. The film reportedly will a tale of friendship features Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra in key roles. As per reports, Oonchai is a slice of life story about four friends who are aged 60 plus. Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, and Danny Denzongpa will be portray the four friends. According to Bollywood Hungama, the film will begin shooting in Nepal in October with a 40-day schedule. The team will also be shooting in Mumbai and Delhi. No release date has been announced. Actor Fardeen Khan was last seen in the 2010 film Dulha Mil Gaya. He has now signed with Sanjay Gupta’s production Visfot that will also feature Riteish Deshmukh. According to trade reports, Khan will be seen playing the role of a taxi driver and an ex-drug dealer while Deshmukh will portray a commercial airline pilot. The film is said to revolve around the events that follow Khan’s character accidentally kidnapping Deshmukh’s son. The film will be directed by Samit Kakkad.

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh to Star in Baiju Bawra

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next directorial, the epic musical Baiju Bawra, has now cast their lead actors. According to Bollywood Hungama, Bhansali has cast Alia Bhatt, who played the protagonist in his film Gangubai Kathiawadi and Ranveer Singh, his next film Jayeshbhai Jordaar is slated to release in October. No word yet on when Baiju Bawra will go on the floors or the release date.
