Our Company
Hand-made and fairly traded jewelry, basket, greetin cards, purses, beaded animals and dolls, homeware, textiles and pottery made by women’s group in various countries in Africa.
A Gift To Africa designs and distributes high-end, handmade and fairly traded crafts made by women in Africa. Currently the company works with over 300 women (and some men) in South Africa, Uganda, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Morocco, Ghana and Nigeria. Our Mission is to promote the awareness of African art, culture, products and people. Through fair trade, A Gift To Africa strives to alleviate challenges that African artisans face at various stages in product delivery due to competition, middlemen, quotas, and other overhead costs causing market forces to significantly increase the price, which in turn works against them earning a decent living.
