AS WE BASK IN THE WARMTH of the coming summer, I write to you brimming with excitement and joy. It is my sincere pleasure to welcome the extraordinary exhibition Imaginary Worlds: Once Upon A Time to San Antonio, on display now through October.

This exhibition holds a special place in my heart, as it represents a journey that began years ago. Prior to joining the Garden as CEO, I had the privilege of overseeing the very first U.S. debut of these giant living sculptures at the Atlanta Botanical Garden in 2013. My heart is filled with pride as I remember the wonder and awe Imaginary Worlds inspired in visitors in that first year. Now, after four years of hard work and meticulous planning and preparation, it truly is a dream come true to bring the giants of the plant kingdom to our beloved city.

Imaginary Worlds: Once Upon A Time celebrates the union of art and horticulture masterfully weaving together elements of fantasy, nature, and creativity, forming a tapestry of whimsy and beauty. At its core lies the captivating art form of mosaiculture, where living plants are sculpted with detailed care to create magnificent works of art. Sculptures crafted by Mosaïcultures® Internationales de Montréal have mesmerized audiences around the world, from Shanghai to Dubai, enchanting them with harmonious blend of nature's splendor and human imagination. This exhibition is not solely a breathtaking spectacle; it is also a testament to the power of community. It is through the unwavering support of members like yourself that we are able to bring this remarkable experience to the Alamo City. Your belief in our mission of enriching lives through plants and nature has been instrumental in making this dream a reality. Together, we are cultivating a haven where art and flora intertwine, allowing the magic of nature to ignite the imaginations of us all.
