The scope and compilation—including SACCNY’s entire network on both sides of the Atlantic—reflects more than a century of hard work geared towards accumulating the most notable and extensive roster of relevant Swedish and American business leaders and companies. SACCNY strongly believes collaboration is the key to success and through our core contributions and extensive network—we offer unlimited business opportunities. The publication in your hand is an important tool that aims to simplify these Transatlantic networking and business opportunities between members ranging from energetic entrepreneurs to impactful corporations. Our high profile membership roster, across 30 industries, includes household name Swedish industrial giants, top level Swedish and American law and consulting firms, professionals as well as a growing number of newer start-ups, scale-ups and young professionals. About gateway After less than a year since its launch, SACCNY’s Gateway platform now hosts an impressive community of over 30 companies and individuals from video design, computer software, human rights and everything in between. The Gateway office space serves as a launch pad for small businesses and entrepreneurs who wish to not only take advantage of SACCNY’s many services and benefits but to cross-pollinate with other start-ups, scale-ups and corporate members for collaboration and mutual success. What about working with SwedishAmerican business do you like the most? “Working with Swedish-American businesses has given me profound insights into the cultural differences between Sweden and the U.S., particularly in conducting business. I believe lessons can be learned from both the Swedish model, which is detail-oriented and focuses on collaboration, as well as the American model, which is fast-paced and is centered on a willingness to continously move forward.
“I have always been interested in international business and trade relations, and I really felt that SACCNY was the perfect place to explore these fields further. Moreover, SACCNY is at the forefront of Swedish-American business exchange and having the opportunity to work with companies of different sizes and industries with connections to both the U.S. and Sweden appeared to be a truly unique working environment. One of the main reasons I applied for the scholarship was because I found the new initiative, Gateway, very compelling – to help startups and scaleups find partnerships and to back them in their U.S. expansion seemed extremely interesting and rewarding.

From the important insights into the U.S. market and the invaluable contacts gained from a multitude of sectors, my scholarship at SACCNY has nourished my ambition to continue working internationally.
