LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Members and Friends It is my pleasure to present our Membership Directory for 2018-2019. As a result of hard work and ambition, the Chamber has since its birth in 1906 acquired over 200 members and the directory is a way for us to share this extensive network with you. The Directory is an important tool for our members as it contains the entire network’s contact information, thus, not only allowing members to communicate with us, but also with each other. Our members range from large global corporations to ambitious startups, talented young professionals, and acclaimed entrepreneurs—the list goes on. It is a one of a kind community, a community fueled by business and entrepreneurship, a community united to promote Swedish business in the United States—and vice versa. 2018 has been a particularly exciting year for SACCNY, largely because of the launch of Gateway. Gateway is a professional innovation platform in the heart of New York City that will house scale-ups and entrepreneurs, as well as our larger member corporations. Ultimately, Gateway

will finally allow us to bring our network and community to life in a home of its own. The Chamber continues to channel its dedication to supporting Swedish businesses in the United States and again, vice versa, through services and support, and this year by even greater means as a function of Gateway. ABOUT SACCNY
THIS WAY IN
Since 1906, SACCNY has provided significant support to Swedish and American professionals and companies, ranging from small startups to large corporations. Being the first of its kind, and with over one hundred years of experience, SACCNY is today the largest and most active Swedish Chamber in the U.S. as well as the largest Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the world. This year we are taking the next step by launching Gateway—a landing and launching pad for Swedish, American and international companies—the Chamber’s latest initiative for facilitating business in the U.S. It will provide a home and platform for Swedish companies looking to internationalize and expand in the U.S. and inviting other professionals wanting to be a part of the prospering and innovative Swedish-American business community. SACCNY’s mission is to promote, advance and protect commercial relations between

SACCNY organizes close to 40 events annually, providing members with rich and varied opportunities to take part of the vibrant Swedish-American business community. Our diverse mix of regular networking events, including Speaker Breakfasts and Luncheons, After Work Keynotes, Skill-Up Sessions and networking for our Young Professionals are tailored to fit the many interests and priorities of our members. How do you like working at a Swedish organization in New York? I believe that most people have a predetermined idea of how it is to work in New York, mainly forged by movies or TV shows that portray an image of endless hours at the office and extremely high expectations. In many ways, this image of a high-paced and vibrant city with ambitious and hard-working people is also correct, I am amazed by my fantastic colleagues and how we all manage to master all the challenges that we encounter on a daily basis. But I also appreciate working at SACCNY because we make sure to have a lot of fun and make the most of this amazing city with all its endless opportunities.
About the Scholarship Program: The SACCNY Scholarship targets promising Swedish graduate students, selected from Sweden’s finest universities, who aspire to have future careers within international business, finance and marketing. This unique opportunity gives the selected scholars access and exposure to the vibrant Swedish-American business community in the world’s center of international commerce, New York. Furthermore, the scholarship provides the scholars with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Chamber’s various activities while at the same time experiencing New York. The scholars in turn contribute immensely to ongoing development and everyday activity at the Chamber and additionally help to bring new perspectives, creativity and innovation to SACCNY.
