Community Art Center: Truckee Downtown Park Expected Completion 2021 In February 2018, CATT CP was approached by Mark Tanner, Mark Tanner Construction, Inc., to be involved with the exterior revitalization of the Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District-owned Community Art Center (CAC) building located on Church Street. This project known as Truckee Downtown Park and designed by High West Landscape Architects involves turning a ¼-acre bleak outdoor space that adjoins the historic CAC building into an interactive sensory garden meant to be fully accessible and en oyed y all ages. In , efforts were ocused on community outreach, permit approval, fundraising and establishing community partnerships. To date, 250 people have purchased custom-engraved pavers to be part of the unique naming opportunity within the stream-like paver pathway. Fundraising goals have nearly been met and with continued donations of labor and materials from CATT member companies, we anticipate completion of Truckee Downtown Park by Fall 2021.
