HAPPY NEW YEAR, Sacramento Real Producers!

As we step into 2025, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on the true power of real estate professionals — not just as agents, but as influencers within the communities they serve. The role of a real estate agent is about far more than closing deals. It’s about shaping neighborhoods, uplifting local economies, and guiding individuals and families toward their next chapter. Each of you, in your own way, has a hand in creating the fabric of our region. Whether you’re nurturing new relationships, fostering local partnerships, or providing invaluable advice to your clients, you are influencing the lives of those around you in profound ways.

The theme of this month’s issue, Industry Influencers, is a celebration of this dynamic role you play. The agents featured in these pages have not only achieved remarkable success, but they’ve also forged their own paths — despite market fluctuations, economic uncertainty, and shifting trends. In 2025, we are presented with a fresh opportunity to take control of our destinies, to chart our own courses — just as the agents in this issue are doing. They are adapting, innovating, and leading in ways that are as unique as their businesses. You, too, have the power to do the same.

Remember, while the state of the market may shift, there is so much within your control. You are business owners, community leaders, and culture setters. You can cultivate a thriving business through resilience, creativity, and connection. And one of the best ways to harness this power is by leaning into the Sacramento Real Producers community — a group of like-minded professionals committed to growth, collaboration, and mutual support.

As you read through this month’s profiles, I hope you’re inspired by the amazing work your fellow agents are doing and find new ways to push your own business forward in 2025. Here’s to another successful year of leadership, influence, and community building!

Warmly,

Sacramento Real Producers

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’? Social media, and community events

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium? When it came to creating a community, I saw the potential in Folsom Ranch. I moved here in 2019 right before Covid and I saw all the people that were moving here and saw the opportunity to be the agent for the area.

Share a memorable moment that has happened because of your digital presence?

At one of my Easter events, I had the Folsom Police Department there and I was standing next to one of the lieutenants and this kid and his mom came up. I naturally thought that they wanted to take a picture with the officer, but instead the mom said that her kids wanted a picture with me since they see me in the magazine and on their school folders.

How has your medium positively impacted your life?

It’s given me a big platform as a community leader. Where I can use my platform to make a difference to help people and create the community we deserve.

What tools and apps do you use to enhance your content?

I run every group in Folsom Ranch like the poker group, golf group, book club, basketball group, etc.. I also am the founder of Folsom Ranch living magazine that is a magazine for the community by the community and I also run every event in the community.

“People rely on me for my events, my social clubs, and magazine to stay informed and be connected to the community.”

What tips do you have for growing your audience organically?

Be you, and most importantly, be creative. Don’t be afraid to take risks even if you fail, continue to grow and learn and don’t let anyone tell you how to brand yourself.

What advice would you give to someone looking to build their personal brand in your medium?

My advice is trust the process and also it takes money to make money. Don’t be afraid to spend on your brand.

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

Social media, specifically home tour videos on Instagram.

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium?

Instagram has always been more personable than other platforms in my opinion and I really wanted to connect with my audience to get to know everyone individually. This allows me to create a working relationship once they inquire about a home, message me about real estate, and more.

What inspired you to start this journey?

I have seen countless agents scale their business in such a short amount of time by multiplying the people they meet, using social media. That for me was a key sign to start the process and to see where it goes. It has significantly paid off for me now!

Share a memorable moment that has happened because of your digital presence?

I have now helped several home buyers purchase a home that they saw on my page, even though they weren’t necessarily in the market for a home. It just goes to show that good marketing pushes people to their desired goals.

How do you balance authenticity and privacy?

I personally use my account as a business account and sprinkle in my personal life on Instagram stories. This for me makes sure that potential clients get to know me for me before inquiring about working with me. People work with people they know, like, and trust so I want to make sure people feel those things from my stories with my personal life and showing myself.

What tips do you have for growing your audience organically?

I have grown my social media to over 18,000 followers organically and my BIGGEST piece of advice is to just be consistent. You can’t make one video and expect a client out of it. At one point I

was posting twice a day for weeks and now almost 600 posts later, my business is thriving!

Roughly what percentage of your leads would you say come from your social media presence?

95% of my leads are from social media! It’s a very important part of my business.

What tips do you have for converting those leads?

My goal is always to stay organic so just making sure I check in with inquiries and leads and let them know that I am always here to help when the time is right, has made them feel comfortable to work with me. I also always try to remember what people are looking for to send other similar homes to the homes they inquired about. I always want to make sure I’m providing value.

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’? I’m primarily on Instagram, but use Facebook and TikTok too. I’m just starting to use YouTube more consistently.

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium?

I’m a visual person, so Instagram was an immediate draw. The original IG that focused on photos is where I found my initial growth personally through my travel blog - Life’s About Experiences. I carried that knowledge over into our real estate brands and have evolved that as all the platforms have pushed creators more to a video content platform.

What inspired you to start this journey? Life’s About Experiences started when we decided to take a break from the world, take our son out of school for a month and take an 18-day cruise from Sydney Australia to Honolulu. Along the way I started taking photos and journaling about adventures each day on Facebook and Instagram. It was really so we would have the memories to look back on. Somewhere along the way people started connecting with what we were doing and why we’re doing it.

A month after we returned from that trip, I had a heart attack and died in front of my wife. Long story short, I was revived. But it emphasized that work isn’t everything and there has to be a balance to life. That was the moment Life’s About Experiences was born. Since then, we’ve traveled the world as a couple and as a family. We’ve shared the stories and hopefully inspired others to find some way to take a break from their lives to do something outside of work.

What tools and apps do you use to enhance your content?

We manage all our social media accounts in Later. It allows us to schedule posts across all platforms using a calendar. It will also give us the most effective times of day to post on Instagram for each of our audiences. It’s a huge time saver.

We’re just starting to experiment with ManyChat. It’s allowing us to create automated responses in DM’s and comments to users across all our Instagram accounts. Imagine you just posted about a new listing. You can program common answers into ManyChat and ask people to DM you questions in your post. ManyChat then answers those questions immediately and can capture that persons contact information and send it to your CRM.

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’? Instagram

What inspired you to start your social media journey?

When I first started selling real estate, it was around the same time Instagram launched. Unlike most agents, I didn’t begin at a typical brokerage — I was a loan officer, surrounded by other loan officers. Instagram became my community, a way to connect with other REALTORS®. It gave me direct access to top producers, allowing me to be inspired by them, connect, grow, even if it wasn’t in person (which suited me as an introvert). I was able to create my own “real estate tribe” of friends, building a network that has been invaluable. All while showing up authentically me, and sharing beautiful listings, my client wins, and my tips and tricks that I was hoping would also be of help to someone.

How has your medium positively impacted your life?

Instagram has had a profoundly positive impact on my life! It’s allowed me to connect with clients, mentors, and other REALTORS® in ways that weren’t possible before. I’ve built a community of friends I’m grateful to interact with daily. It’s also given me the platform to advocate for things that matter to me, from empowering women in business to sharing my experience as a mother. Ultimately, not only has it helped me grow my business, but it’s also given me the opportunity to be part of a community.

What drives you to continue to create?

“It has given me the platform to advocate for things that matter to me, from empowering women in business to sharing my experience as a mother.”

It’s the same reason that drove me to create Onyx Real Estate. The industry is changing and I believe in reinventing what’s possible, both in real estate and in how we connect with people through media. Every piece of content is an opportunity to motivate someone, to teach, to share my journey, and to connect with people all around the world. That’s what keeps me going — knowing that my work, in some way, might inspire others to chase their dreams. Whether it’s to buy a first home, buy an investment, make the move to a bigger home or start a new career.

What tips do you have for growing your audience organically?

A big part of organic growth is engaging with your audience. Get to know them as they get to know you! Respond to comments, answer questions, and genuinely connect with people. Add value whenever you can — whether it’s through helpful tips, inspiration, or insights that others can learn from. When people feel that they’re gaining something meaningful from your content, they’re much more likely to engage with you.experience as a mother.”

“Cailey and Jamie are terrrific! They guided me through the whole process. We ended up offering on 4 homes before finalizing on an amazing home. So their patience and availability at any time were crucial. Also, as a current military member, she worked really hard to make sure I got the best rate. She also volunteers with local veteran groups. Thank you!

eXp Realty of California Inc

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

I primarily use Instagram to grow my influence and platform. It’s a visual medium that allows me to share beforeand-after transformations of my flip projects, engage with my audience through stories, reels, and posts — provide valuable insights on real estate investing and passive income. Instagram’s interactive features make it easy to connect with my followers, answer their questions, and create a sense of community around house flipping and rental investments. Its algorithm also helps me reach a wider audience who are interested in real estate, which has been instrumental in growing my platform.

How has your medium positively impacted your life?

Using Instagram as my medium has had a profound impact on my life, both professionally and personally. It has allowed me to reach and engage with a broad audience, establish myself as an authority in the real estate flipping space, and build a community of like-minded individuals. On a personal level, the positive feedback and success stories from my followers provide a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Financially, it has opened up opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, and even new investment ventures that wouldn’t have been possible without this platform.

What tools and apps do you use to enhance your content?

To enhance my content, I utilize several key tools that streamline my workflow and improve engagement. Canva is essential for creating visually appealing graphics and templates that align with my brand. CapCut helps me produce high-quality with its userfriendly editing features. ManyChat is a game-changer

for automating my interactions and efficiently managing conversations with followers, making it easier to nurture leads. I use Stan Store to showcase my digital products and services, providing a seamless experience for my audience to access valuable resources. Lastly, The Boards App keeps me organized, allowing me to save and share content ideas, links, and frequently used text across platforms, ensuring consistent communication and branding.

How

do you balance authenticity and privacy?

Balancing authenticity and privacy is a fine line I navigate by sharing personal insights and experiences that resonate with my audience, while keeping certain aspects of my life private. I focus on being genuine about my professional journey, sharing successes and failures openly, but I maintain boundaries around my family life and personal details. This approach allows me to build trust with my followers while protecting my own privacy.

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

My main focus has been Instagram in recent years

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium?

I chose social media, particularly Instagram and YouTube, because it allows me to connect with my clients and community in a real, meaningful way. Real estate isn’t just about houses; it’s about the people who live in them and the communities they’re part of. For me, video and social platforms are the perfect channels to show up authentically, sharing insights that genuinely help my clients and engaging with them on a personal level. Instead of simply selling, my team and I are here to serve. Through videos, blog posts, and even podcasting, we can offer consistent value, keep our audience informed, and have a little fun along the way. Social media gives us that creative freedom to bring real estate to life in a way that feels personable and approachable. Plus, by building a following based on trust, it’s not just about transactions; it’s about building long-term relationships that grow organically.

Ultimately, I chose this medium because it aligns perfectly with my team’s values: being real, supportive, and bringing a little lightheartedness to the process, so our clients can feel confident and cared for every step of the way.

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose social media?

Instagram is my primary platform because it’s not only free but also a vibrant space where my community is already engaging. It allows for visual storytelling, which is essential for conveying my brand’s message authentically. The platforms features, like satires and reels, provide different ways for me to connect and interact with my audience, fostering a sense of community. Leveraging a medium that aligns with my goals and where I can influence and inspire others is super important to me!

What inspired you to start this journey?

I saw incredible potential for connection and engagement in the digital space. I wanted to share my Real Estate expertise as well as my passions outside of RE, and social media offered a direct way to do that. It allows me to showcase my brands personality and values, and attract like-minded people/clients.

Share a memorable moment that has happened because of your digital presence?

While social media has brought me new and wonderful friendships/mentors into my life. One memorable moment was when a follower reached out to share how my content

had positively impacted their life. They told me that my posts inspired them to pursue their passion, which had been a long-time dream. They even started a project of their own and tagged me in their progress. It was incredibly fulfilling to see the ripple effect of my work and to know that I had a hand in motivating someone to take that leap.

What drives you to continue to create?

The connection I build with people. My growing numbers reflect that others want to feel connected and develop trust. I don’t see myself as someone who “creates content” in the traditional sense, rather I show up as my authentic self, embracing the season I’m in, consistently. The feedback I receive and the growth of my busies are strong motivators for me. Social media has become a key platform for people to find me, and over time, they feel that connection, which fosters that essential “know, like, trust” relationship.

How do you balance authenticity and privacy?

It’s a delicate balance, but one that I’m continually navigating as I grow in my journey. The goal is to stay true to myself and my brand while ensuring that I feel safe and comfortable with what I put out there.

“I wanted to share my Real Estate expertise as well as my passions outside of RE, and social media offered a direct way to do that.”

What tips do you have for growing your audience organically? Stay consistent! Know your audience and speak to them. It doesn’t always have to be work related. Share what you know, you have value!

Mark

Coldwell Banker Realty MCDONOUGH

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’? YouTube and Spotify with a sprinkle of Instagram and Facebook

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium? I was always drawn to long form content and YouTube is the dominate medium for this. Instagram is an amazing platform, but let’s be honest. Do you really feel like you know the person posting? You do a few hour-long videos on YouTube and people really get who you are. This way if they want to work with you, they know what they’re getting.

What tools and apps do you use to enhance your content? Epidemic Sound, Final Cut, Premier and CapCut.

How do you balance authenticity and privacy?

With longform content, if you’re not authentic, you won’t grow. So early on I had to get really comfortable in my own skin. As far as privacy, I never post anything about my family or personal life.

What tips do you have for growing your audience organically? Whatever platform you decide to start your journey on become a student of that platform. Understand that even if you are at the top that will change and you need to adapt. Social media algorithms change almost every month unless you keep on top of this, your social media victories could be short-lived.

Roughly what percentage of your leads would you say come from your digital or social media presence? 100%

I think I’m a teacher at heart so doing YouTube videos has really fulfilled that part of my life.”

What tips do you have for converting those leads?

Be the same person they see in your videos.

What advice would you give to someone looking to build their personal brand in your medium?

Plan out your first six months and then deliver quality and consistency in every video.

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

I get about 100 referrals a year through social media! I started with Facebook and when I got that dialed, I then launched my Instagram channel and after that YouTube.

What inspired you to start your social media journey?

I heard someone at a real estate convention one time say that you need to be the local mayor of your town. I wanted to find a medium that I could add massive value to my local community, but also to REALTORS® around the country!

I realized with social media, I could talk to thousands of people simply with the click of a mouse, I just needed to make sure that I was always going to add value to them and keep things interesting so they kept wanting to come back to my page.

How has your medium positively impacted your life?

I feel like social media has completely changed my life! And the best part is, I get to be completely, authentically, me! We were able to buy our dream home this year, I have relationships all over the world. I’ve been able to launch a coaching company where I get to help REALTORS® build their dream business through social media. I get to speak all over the country. It opened up some huge doors and opportunities for me. And I have a feeling I’m just getting started. It’s SO fun. I literally was on a cruise out of the country and ran into someone who recognized me from YouTube! It’s wild.

What drives you to continue to create?

I always want to be the best version of myself, and I really believe that to keep social media interesting,

you have to have five pillars of content. Only one thing that I talk about is going to be real estate, the other four things are going to be what makes me tick, why somebody would hang out with me on the weekend! You have to remember, people might find you on social media because you’re a REALTOR®, but they’re going to stick around because of who you are and how you make them feel! People know that if they come to my page, they’re going to hear me talk about real estate and being an entrepreneur, being a wife and a mom (my fav), multiple streams of income, living a healthy lifestyle postpartum, and personal growth! It’s totally OK that real estate is my least comment commented on topic, because I’m consistently talking about it so no one questions if I’m still in the industry. But I get the referrals because of who I am as a person. Not because of what I do.

What advice would you give to someone looking to build their personal brand on social media?

“But I get the referrals because of who I am as a person. Not because of what I do.”

Take a deep breath, and know that your life is important and incredible, and it deserves to be shared! I guarantee you have so many photos in your phone that you took, but you’ve never posted. Just hit POST. You got this!

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

Instagram has been my go-to platform, I’ve grown it organically to a level where it allows me to reach potential clients and also stay in touch with current and past clients. Facebook would be my runner up. As I have more family and friends there that allows me to stay top of mind for any Real Estate needs. I Also have a TikTok page.

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium?

At the time I came into the industry, agents weren’t leveraging Instagram as they are today. It was a perfect opportunity for me to grow my audience and spread the word about homeownership. (Using Instagram allowed me to reach people of all backgrounds and areas with interest in home buying and selling just by using hashtags or algorithms. It’s the ease of the app that provided great ability to my growth.)

What inspired you to start this journey?

In the beginning I didn’t have many clients. My sphere was huge but I was a newer agent looking to earn people’s business. The Instagram platform allowed me to share content and receive direct feedback from those watching. which in turn brought me to creating video tours and sharing value with people via Instagram created a loyal community that has helped my business thrive. It has helped me to share real estate knowledge and give those in the market what they are looking for. Listening to the feedback of what the people want to see or hear has helped me to become successful.

How has your medium positively impacted your life?

It gives me great satisfaction knowing I have an audience who appreciates my content. Some people watch my videos just to get inspired or enjoy some of the beautiful homes I show with a great song attached to it. The biggest impact is the amount of relationships I’ve developed from IG, its business that turns into lifelong friends. I get to know people starting with IG comments or messages about the music I use, the house I’m showing and how much they can’t wait to buy. From there most times I become a part of their plan and then become a staple in their life of purchasing a home.

“It gives me great satisfaction knowing I have an audience who appreciates my content.”

What tools and apps do you use to enhance your content?

All of my content is shot and edited by me with my iPhone. I feel like many content creators get carried away with over spending on gadgets when your phone and the Instagram app is just as good. Outside of that I have a high-quality microphone and a tripod.

House Real Estate

What medium are you using to grow your ‘Influence and Platform’?

Facebook was my first love but now it’s transitioning. Instagram is my go-to social media preference. My whole team at House Real Estate uses Instagram pretty extensively. We see it as foundational to our creative marketing efforts, but most importantly we use it as a way to show our true, authentic selves. I think our clients and prospective clients value that real-life look into our lives and who we are as people, first and foremost.

In regards to creating a following, influencing a community, or building your brand, why did you choose your medium?

I think the way Instagram combines image, video, and words has proven to be a perfect mix for me. My goal with each post is to share entertaining, insightful, and appealing visual content that’s complemented by compelling written content.

What inspired you to start this journey?

A desire to be authentic and show my full self. Yes, being a real estate agent is what I do, but it’s only part of who

Connecting

people with relatable content brings us all together in the comments section.”

I am. I’m also a dad, an artist, I have an awesome family and wonderful friends, I’m a die-hard Kings fan, and I have a cool old Bronco that I love to drive around on the weekends. Those are just some of the things you’ll see on my Instagram — and they’re all parts of what make me, me. That authenticity is something I’m always striving to show on my Instagram.

Share a memorable moment that has happened because of your digital presence? There have been thousands but I think the number one is when an art front went viral to raise $150,000 for firefighters. The reach of social media with real estate and art clients has been immeasurable.

What drives you to continue to create?

I love marketing and for me it’s the constant challenge to help others. Connecting people with relatable content brings us all together in the comments section.

Roughly what percentage of your leads would you say come from your digital or social media presence?

I would say at least 25 percent of our current clients have heard about us through social media.

What advice would you give to someone looking to build their personal brand in your medium? Be consistent with your message and don’t be afraid to be unique.
