Social Housing

Design Studio 2

Social housing design focuses on creating affordable, safe, and inclusive living spaces for diverse communities. It prioritizes efficient use of space, sustainable materials, and accessibility features to meet the needs of all residents. Thoughtful planning ensures that these buildings foster a sense of community through shared spaces, green areas, and communal facilities, enhancing the overall quality of life.

The design for our social housing project incorporates three distinct types of units, each crafted from local wood and brick, complemented by accents of green metal. This sustainable material palette not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures durability and environmental harmony. The layout is meticulously planned with the sun›s direction playing a pivotal role, optimizing natural light and warmth throughout the day. This consideration shapes both the orientation of the buildings and the placement of green areas, ensuring welllit living spaces and vibrant, sun-drenched communal zones. The development is enriched with a variety of amenities, including leisure activity spaces, restaurants, cafes, and parks, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. A dedicated playground and car parking areas offer convenience for families, while extensive green landscape areas provide serene outdoor spaces for relaxation.

Bardin, Belluno

Belluno is a town in the Veneto region of northern Italy, located in the southern part of the Dolomite Mountains, with a population of around 35,000. The project area is at the intersection of two main streets, Via Lungardo and Ponte dell’Anta, and is bordered to the west by the Torrente Ardo river. It is surrounded on three sides by residential buildings, making it a central hub connecting various neighborhoods.

Historical Background:

Belluno has a rich history dating back to ancient times, with architecture that showcases influences from various eras. It was initially inhabited by the Celts, then the Romans, and later the Lombards. Throughout the centuries, Belluno flourished as a prosperous medieval town under the rule of the Venetian Republic.

The upper graph shows the temperature anomaly for each month from 1979 until today. the anomaly shows how much it was colder or warmer than the 30-year climatic average from 1980 to 2010. Thus, the red months were warmer and blue months colder than normal. In most places, you will see an increase in months warmer over the years, reflecting the warming of the planet associated with climate change.

Tree Hotel

Final Design Studio

The Tree Hotel is placed in Saqaleksar which is a green area with a dam in the middle. The is a touristic place and building a hotel there has many profits such as economical ones witch they can improve the area with a hotel also can get the place known. As the design is trying not to ruin the natural and cultural aspect of the place it cannot damage this beautiful nature.

The design process began with research about Guilan considering the way of building which was common in the past, combining buildings with trees, and how the building influenced by nature and the ground. It is planned to design a 3-star hotel based on suites which can be used by a family or be shared among complete strangers, There are 3 different zones that each repeats 3 times in the whole hotel and the public places placed outdoor beneath the constructed area.

Porta Ostiense

Conservation Design Studio

Porta San Paolo is a historical gate in Rome, originally part of the Aurelian Walls built in the 3rd century. Named after the nearby Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, it served as a major entry point to the city. The gate is adjacent to the Pyramid of Cestius, an ancient Roman pyramid tomb. Today, Porta San Paolo houses the Ostiense Museum, which exhibits artifacts related to the ancient Roman port of Ostia. This iconic structure stands as a testament to Rome›s rich history and architectural heritage.

The design concept for the conservation studio at Porta San Paolo in Rome focuses on revitalizing the ancient pathway leading to the gate, breathing new life into this historic route. The plan envisions en- hancing circulation and providing scenic views around the iconic Pyramid of Cestius, ensuring a harmonious blend of history and modern ac- cessibility. Additionally, the design includes a discreet access point to the nearby Protes- tant Cemetery, allowing visitors to experience the serene beauty of this hidden gem. This approach aims to create a seamless integration of historical preservation with contemporary ur- ban design, enriching the cultural and visual experience of the area.

Porta Ostiense, Roma

Maxentius started heightening the wall by 1–2 meters and began repairs on its curtains and towers, including those at Porta Ostiensis. He also attempted to dig a protective ditch (vallum) in front of the wall.

The gate was initially called Porta Ostiensis as it was the starting point of Via Ostiensis, connecting Rome and Ostia. The gatehouse was flanked by two cylindrical towers and had two entrances, later covered by a second single-opening gate built by the Byzantine general Belisarius.

Pope Sisinnius I ordered the preparation of mortar for repairs to the wall near Porta Ostiensis, but his imminent death prevented him from realizing this plan.

The wall and Porta Ostiensis were repaired by Pope Gregory II and III.

Modifications included adding more ordinary towers and changing the structure around Porta Ostiensis.

standardized the wall with a new type of merlon with traverses, impacting Porta Ostiensis as well.

Parts of the wall near Porta Ostiensis were rebuilt with tiles to support the crumbling concrete vault.

Restoration of the walls, including Porta Ostiensis, with new “red brick” masonry by the municipality.

Many old repairs at Porta Ostiensis disappeared beneath new coats of mortar applied during these years.

Construction of the Aurelian Wall, including Porta Ostiensis as a key gateway.

Honorius heightened the two towers of Porta Ostiensis.

Belisarius paid significant attention to the city wall during the Gothic Wars, fitting them with new types of merlons with side walls to protect defenders.

Restoration efforts included work on the towers near Porta Ostiensis by Leo IV.

Alexander VII implemented a restoration plan for the walls, including Porta Ostiensis.

Intervention for the preservation of the Aurelian walls near Porta Ostiensis started with the restoration of the external facade. Metal buttresses with shoring functions were added to protect the monument during metro excavation.

LAD Projects

Interior Design

I recently completed an enriching internship at LAD (Laboratorio di Architettura e Design), a distinguished architectural firm based in Rome. Founded in 2006 by Simone Lanaro and Francesco Napolitano, LAD engages in various facets of architectural design, industrial design, and interior design. The firm’s core objective is to achieve high-quality design across all scales, striving to balance creative realization with economic feasibility. With a strong portfolio of projects featuring high architectural quality, LAD integrates profound conceptual value with robust technical expertise.

During my internship, I primarily focused on 3D modeling and rendering of interior designs for modern apartments, us- ing advanced software to create detailed visu- alizations. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit an unreconstructed building with my su- pervisor, Francesco Napolitano, which pro- vided valuable insights into the complexities of architectural restoration. This hands-on expe- rience deepened my understanding of both modern design and historical preservation.

Narrative Form

A Separation

From the past to the present, cinema and architecture have a strong connection in their form and content. In this project, an attempt has been made to study the form and content of the film (a Separation), and in this regard, a form has been produced in another medium (architecture). Belonging to people (relationships) and objects (such as home) plays a big role in this film. The house (in a generalized way; society) in separating and layering each of its spaces, stories and narrators in the film, takes a different form of its familiar concept in mind. The main elements of narrative and how they relate, the isolation and separation of characters, the rerepresentation of the house and its components are the most important concepts in the process of transforming the cinematic form into an architectural form.

A Separation is a 2011 Iranian drama film written and directed by Asghar Farhadi and also won the Oscar , Golden Bear and other awards for Best Foreign Language Film in 2012. It focuses on an Iranian middleclass couple (Nader and Simin)who are going to divorce, and also the disappointment and desperation suffered by their daughter (Termeh) due to the egotisticaldisputes and separation of her parents.

DOOR,The object which can be seen repitedly on the movie, does it play aseparating role? or a link?linking charecters with the place in which they have appointed themselves or have the dream of being in. DOORS which need to be opened to reach the other side.

A Separation,The confusion of Termeh,The problems charecters dealing with,Termeh who left in between dreaming to get rid of the present.
