PRIMARY SCHOOL semester 5 school design. location at thiruvallam,thiruvananthapuram. 2020. The main aim of the project was to build a government school for students of grade 3-8,which can also be used as a lifeline building if the need arose. The school was to have an additional touch of futurism; flexible classrooms.inclusion of green spaces,child pedagogy etc.The school was designed in a way that the built responded to the site effectively also while keeping in mind of the fact a child would have a memorable experience through the spaces,

The design of the school is done in such a way that the heart of the school is a central outdoor space which includes seating areas,open stage area and the playground.This area is a multi functional areva designed especially for students.The massing is done in such a way that the spaces are arranged according to the contour of the slope.

the classrooms are furnished with movable furnitures which can be stacked to make space
the canteen has indoor dining and also has an access to the outdoor seating.
the space under the ramp is designed to act as chill out space for the students.
agora main heart of the school is the agora space in the middle which acts as the main circulation area for the students.

the agora is the heart of the school. it acts as the main ciculation point that it consists of a stramp, steps for the s t u d e n t s . it also accomodates the playgrounds and the open stage area for leisure activities. the existing vegetation of the site is protected due to the presence of this open area.

INFINITY CAFE semester 4 commercial design. location at kazhakootam,thiruvananthapuram. 2020. The project was to design a cafe at Kazhakootam which is slowly becoming the hub of the capital Thiruvananthapuram .The concept of the cafe was to provide a stress relief environment for the city dwellers.The cafe has the provision of different types of seating which included outdoor and indoor setting .It also had a smash room where the users could smash everything in the room therefore by helping to vent out their frustrations. Therapy dogs like labrador and menu consisting calming treats that include chamomile tea were also an attraction for the cafe.

The main concept of the cafe was the inifnity loop as it was conisdered to be calming for the PTSD patients, The loop has been replicated in the plan as well as the form of the built. The curved walls also help in lifting one’s spirits.
the building materials used in the built are brick , concrete members, and epoxy rubber membrane for the roof.

MATTUMEL RESIDENCE semester 3 residential design. location at kovalam,thiruvananthapuram. 2019. Mattumel residence was a project inteded to house a family of 5. The main aim was to make the residence user friendly and site responsive. Situated in kovalam , the residence was designed in such a way that the spaces were arranged according to the needs of the residents. The striking feature of the resident was the front facade which was inclined inwards blurring the boundary between the wall and the roof.The project helped to understand how each space can be different to each users and how it can be tailor made for each.

the spaces are the volume is the facade is divided into two extruded upwards . then inclined to an angle which ensures zones and then kept in an angle decided ventilation and by the shape of the site. proper entry of sunlight.
the slope of the facade in the built helps in the intake of the wind from the southern side of the site. also the minimal openings with extended indoor shading helps in decreasing the entry of the southern radiation of the sun.the cantileverd swimming pool helps in evaporative cooling in the indoors.
steel frames are used in the skeleton to supoort the sloping facade.
brick is used in the private zone areabringing in the contrast between the materials.

AALAYA house 2,0 competition archdais 2021. Nestled in the heart of a 3500sqft land in kerala,Aalaya redefines the meaning of a person’s home,the basic concept of a home is thought by elimination of the walls,unless its indispensable in a space. the pandemic has evoked thoughts on how a home could be designed. Aalaya is in response to those thoughts which liberates the idea of home simply being a shelter.With minimal wall and placement of volumes at different levels,the house has been designed to release the stress of an inhabitant and encourage mindfulness.

the aim was to create a modular housing for the fishing community in Valiyathura. the entry recieved citation.
tiny house 2.0 the project was a mobile tiny house intended for the moving artists. a singluar mass of 4x4 cube is taken, which iis considered to be a permanent space suitable for mobility. The face of the cube can be exploded in order to create a extension of the already existing space. This is done in similarity to an exploding box.
