The Bachelor of Audio course is a fully-immersive, hands-on experience that covers all aspects of studio, post and live sound production. You will be trained in an array of Audio skills including Audio engineering, Mic and signal processing, digital audio, DAW operation, and artist and project management.

You will be learning in professional Audio studio environments and utilising industry-standard equipment including Neve, SSL or an Audient console. While gaining proficiencies on software including Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live. Your growth and development will be assessed through the completion of industry-based projects, not theoretical-based essays. This learning process will leave you with an exceptional body of work and a portfolio that will help land your first client or potential future employer.

Work placement is available and is an important part of your course to provide practical experience and help build your creative network. We will also equip you with employability skills, giving you professional strategies in communication and self-promotion. The Bachelor of Songwriting and Music Production is a collaborative course providing a unique, hands-on, immersive experience to guide you through each level of songwriting and music production.

You will learn, in a studio environment, contemporary songwriting strategies, music production technology and skills, nuances of performance, and recording techniques, as well as creating music for other media like games, film/ screen and for live performance. As your skills develop and you work on more dynamic projects, you’ll apply your capabilities across disciplines and you could find yourself collaborating with fellow SAE students across Australia as well as SAE’s global network.

Once complete, you’ll have the songwriting and music production tools you need to mix it with the best.
