"Look not mournfully into the Past; it comes not back again. Wisely improve the Present; it is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy Future without fear and with a manly heart."-Henry W. Longfellow DEAN

"The highest of all Arts is the Art of living well. Beyond the beauty of Sculpture, or Painting, or Music, or Poetry, is the beauty of a well-spent life. Here all can be Artists. Every man can be a hero. Obedience to the command, "Be ye perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect," would ally man to God, and make earth a Paradise."-.James P. Wickersham. ETHEL M. McNEIL

~tnior ~la!, On Saturday night, March 13, the days of worry and the sleepless nights were at an end. We all breathed a sigh of relief as the final curtain went down on our big production of "Arsenic and Old Lace". While teachers bellowed, books grew dusty, and icicles hung from our noses, we practived (?) ---- in between the eating of doughnuts and the smoking of ! Every Saturday morning we could be seen staggering into the auditorium looking like "the morning after the night before". Poker games, sponsored by the corpse, seemed to provide amusement for the masculine sex. As the 12th of March approached, we all administered nerve pills and hoped for the best. Laryngitis and warped minds proved to be the greatest handicaps, but in the end we all agreed the production was the best ever. P.S.

We must not forget the scrub job in the back room!

The numerous musical organizations provided a gay background for our movie. During our Christmas scene they enhanced our gaiety with lively traditional songs and impressive carols. For the Spring sequence they offered many delightful tunes. While our production was being completed, our musical organizations made several guest appearances over local radio stations, and the A Cappella Choir and the Girls' Chorus appeared at the local churches. No movie is complete without a bit of mystery; this element was present at the annual band concert. Signs encouraged the conjectures as to whether the guest conductor would be the Walking Man or Miss Berry or ? ? ?
