2014 Saffore-Scyffore Family Reunion Celebration Friday, June 20th – Monday, June 24th Little Rock, Arkansas
Proudly hosted by Arkansas Family Chapter Mrs. Allene Johnson, Legacy Member Host “It’s A Family Affair” Included in this booklet is the family reunion itinerary, which outlines the general flow of activities for the reunion. Please review carefully and let us know if you should require additional information. There will also be announcements and special instructions for activities throughout the reunion. As we celebrate during our family reunion, we will highlight and pay tribute to the Civil Rights legacy. It’s truly because of God’s grace, mercy and the labor of many during the Civil Rights struggle, that we have been afforded the level of freedom, liberty and opportunities we all enjoy today. We know the fight for Civil Rights continues, however, it’s incumbent upon us as a family, to pay homage and respect to the movement. As the 2014 reunion launch draws near, let us consider one another in love and kindness. The fellowship we share each year strengthens our family bond and connection; it should be treasured and not taken for granted. We have family members that have served faithfully and dutifully during active war; fighting for the protection of our nation, let us consider them. We have ill family members that need our prayers and our presence, let us consider them. We have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to Lead, Guide, Mentor, Support, Counsel, Educate and Prepare for the life that’s ahead of them, let us consider them. The family reunion celebration is about the entire family, and not just a select few, or just you. Take the time to become more acquainted with family members that you may not be as familiar with, extend your hand and heart in the spirit of love, fellowship and family. As you review the reunion itinerary, you will notice that some activities have been sponsored in part by the Firm Foundation. The Firm Foundation is a growing movement of men in our family; focused on godly leadership and undergirding the family’s heritage and legacy. If you are interested in learning more about the Firm Foundation, please connect with Charles Lewis or Troy Lewis. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
