Patrimonio Artístico Monumental artistical heritage PALAU DUCAL. Gandia. Es uno de palacios mejor conservados de la Comunitat Valenciana. Destacan el impresionante patio de armas, el Salón de Coronas, la Santa Capilla y la Galería Dorada de estilo barroco.

SEU COLEGIATA. Gandia Declarada también Monumento Histórico Artístico, es un claro ejemplo del gótico tardío valenciano en la que resaltan las puertas de Santa María y la de los Apóstoles, una de las primeras obras de Damián Forment, precursor del Renacimiento en España.

CASA DE CULTURA. Gandia. Fue construida en el s. XIX por una de las familias burguesas más ricas de España. Hay que prestar atención a la escalera de mármol del interior y a su magnífico jardín romántico.

ALQUERÍA DEL DUC. Gandia. Antigua residencia de verano de los Borja.

Es un edificio medieval con tres troneras y una torre de vigía que conserva el arco original de la entrada y un reloj de sol que data de 1780.

CASTILLO DE BAYRÉN. Gandia. Importante fortificación del sistema defensivo español costero desde donde se tiene una magnífica panorámica, desde Dénia hasta Cullera.

MUSEOS. Los dos museos más importantes son el MaGa, Museo ArqueoDUCAL PALACE. Gandia. Is one of the best preserved in the region and the most representative of Valencian civil heritage buildings. In its interior different stays can be visited as the arms courtyard, the Crowns assembly, the Saint’s Chapel and the Golden Gallery COLLEGIATE. Gandia. Declared a National Historical-Artistic Monument. It is a gothic building of the XIV. It is in itself a small architectural jewel, where the “Puerta de Santa María” and the “Puerta de los Apóstoles” are noteworthy.

CULTURAL CENTRE. It is known as the Casa de la Marquesa. It was built in XIX century by one of the richest bourgeois families in Gandia. The interior marble staircase is notable as well its romantic garden.

ALQUERIA DEL DUC Gandia. Summer residence of Borja’s family. A medieval building with a watchtower in the corners built in the fourteenth century. Retains the original arched entrance and a sundial dating from 1780.

IGLESIA PARROQUIAL. Real de Gandia. Edificio de cruz latina cubierto con bóveda de cañón. Sus muros tienen una policromía del barroco discreto (segunda mitad XVIII).

CASTILLO DE SANTA ANA. Oliva. De planta rectangular, cuenta con dos torres circulares situadas en los ángulos nordeste y sudoeste.

TORRE COMARE. Oliva. La torre es el único vestigio que queda de la Casa Señorial de los Centelles. El friso templado que decoraban el edificio se expone actualmente en el Hispanic Society de América (Nueva York).

IGLESIA DE SANTA MARÍA. Oliva. Posee tres naves, el templo fue empezado en el estilo barroco y acabado en estilo clásico-demicista. Destaca el campanario, la capilla de la Virgen del Rosario y el transagrario.

EL RAFALI. La Font d’en Carròs. BIC. Conjunto fortificado donde se ubicó el primer núcleo de población. Tenía unos 800 metros de los que se conservan unos 100 metros de lienzo de muro del siglo XIV. CASTLE OF BAIRÉN. Gandia. Important fortification located in the top of the hill. From there you have magnificent views from Dénia to Cullera.

MUSEUMS. Gandia. Gandia has several museums, including the Archaeological Museum and the Faller Museum, the only Interactive and Multimedia Interpretation Centre of the Fallas in the Valencian Community.

IGLESIA PARROQUIAL Real de Gandia. Latin cross building covered with barrel vaults. Its walls have a discrete Baroque polychrome (second half XVIII).

SANTA ANA CASTLE. Oliva The castle is on mount Santa Ana, where the remains of the fortifications of the hermitage can be found. It has a rectangular layout and has two circular towers.

TORRE COMARE. Oliva. The circular tower belongs to the architectural set of the Centelles’ palace. Tempered brick frieze on plates that deco

GRAN CAFÉ CENTRO. Villalonga. Edificio civil modernista de principios del XX. Conserva parte del suelo y las paredes revestidas de cerámica tradicional.

MONESTIR DE SANT JERONI. Alfauir. Fundado en 1388, se enmarca dentro del estilo gótico mudéjar renacentista. Destaca su patio de entrad, con la torre gótica, el patio de los naranjos, el claustro mudéjar y sus impresionantes jardines románticos.

MONESTIR DE LA VALLDIGNA. Simat de la Valldigna. Monasterio de estilo circense fundado por Jaume II “El Just” en 1298. Es un emblema para la Valldigna. rated the building is currently showing at the Hispanic Society of America (New York).

PALACIO MILA I ARAGÓ. Albaida. Palacio del siglo XV de estilo gótico catalán. La iglesia de su interior guarda joyas escultóricas neorrealistas y barrocas y pinturas de José Segrelles.

PALAU DE LA VILA. Ontinyent. Monumento Histórico Artístico Nacional.

Resaltan los elementos del gótico-civil valenciano de su fachada y el arco del vestíbulo donde está el escudo de armas y la majestuosa escalera._ ments. Visitors can admire the entrance courtyard, Gothic tower, Mudejar cloister, old church with baroque chapel and impressive romantic gardens.

VALLDIGNA MONASTERY. Simat de la Valldigna. The monastery was founded in 1297 by James II of Aragon. It is as well a symbol of the grandeur of the Valencian people. The church is the best preserved monument of the monastery.

MONASTERY OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI. Llutxent. Located on the Monte Santo, it was built in 1422 in Valencian Gothic style although it has buildings from different periods. The cloister, the church and the factory stand out.

PALACE OF MARQUESES MILÀ I ARAGÓ. Albaida. It contains 17th-century Baroque mural paintings and a fantastic room in Catalan Gothic style.

The church inside has neorealist and baroque sculptural jewels and the paintings of the great José Segrelles PALAU DE LA VILA. Ontinyent. National Artistic Historical Monument.

Ruta Natural Natural walk

En este recorrido descubriremos rincones sorprendentes, parques naturales, cuevas con interesantes restos arqueológicos además de un sinfín de posibilidades de rutas de senderismo.

Parque Natural del marjal de Pego-Oliva El marjal, los ríos y las montañas que lo rodean fueron declarados Parque Natural en 1995. Abarca una superficie de 1.248 hectáreas y tiene un sistema dunar que se extiende al sur del río Serpis. La formación del marjal se debe a la colmatación de una antigua bahía que lo convirtió en albufera y que posteriormente lo transformó en marjal. Constituye una extensión uniforme de carrizales con numerosas balsas de agua limpia In this tour we will discover some surprising places, natural parks, caves with interesting archaeological remains and endless possibilities of hiking routes.

Pego-Oliva Marjal Natural Park The marsh, rivers and mountains that surround the area were declared a Natural Park in 1995. It covers an area of 1​​ .248 hectares and has a dune system that extends south of the Serpis River. The formation of the marsh land is due to the clogging of an old bay that turned it into a lagoon and then later transformed it into a marsh. It constitutes a uniform extension of reeds with numerous rafts

Paraje Natural Municipal Parpalló-Borrell Cuenta con 549,50 hectáreas y se localiza en Gandia. El enclave destaca por la presencia de fauna de notable interés, como el gato montés, el águila real o el búho real. Por otro lado, cabe destacar el valioso patrimonio arqueológico de la cueva del Parpalló, una de las referencias principales para el arte Paleolítico europeo. Se han datado más de 5.000 piezas de arte mueble que abarcan todo el Paleolítico Superior. of clean water that are crossed by a network of old ditches. Marjal de la Safor Ocupa más de 1.000 hectáreas, está ubicado en los términos municipales de Tavernes de la Valldigna, Xeraco, Xeresa y Gandia. Es una de las zonas húmedas de agua dulce litorales mejor conservadas de las Comunitat Valenciana, por la abundancia y calidad del agua de la que surte. Una de las rutas que recorre el Marjal es la “Creueta”, en Xeresa, que va cruzando lagunas y carrizales hasta llegar a la reserva natural.

Parque natural sierra de Mariola Este paraje tiene una extensión de 17.725 hectáreas situada entre las comarcas de la Vall d’Albaida, Alcoià y el Comtat. Presenta una interesante flora entre las que destaca la gran variedasd de hierbas aromáticas, se han llegado a identificar hasta 1.200 especies, muchas de ellas endémicas de la Comunitat Valenciana como la salvia de Mariola, el rabo de gato, la manzanilla borde o el té de roca.

Marjal de la Safor Occupying more than 1,000 hectares, it is located in the regions of Tavernes de la Valldigna, Xeraco, Xeresa and Gandia. Cueva del Parpalló En el parque natural Parpalló-Borrell de Gandia se encuentra la cueva del Parpalló, un referente del Paleolítico europeo y que se puede visitar desde julio de 2014. La cueva conserva una de las mayores colecciones de arte paleolítico del mundo y está catalogado como Bien de Interés Cultural.

Senderismo en la Vall d’Albaida La Vall d’Albaida da la oportunidad de descubrir la naturaleza con sus más de 285 km de senderos. La comarca está rodeada por una serie de sierras que son el escenario perfecto para la práctica de deportes como el senderismo como la Sierra de Benicadell, la más emblemática para los “valldalbaidins” o la sierra de Mariola, una de las de mayor tradición dentro del trazado de rutas y senderos valencianos y que recientemente ha sido declarada Parque Natural._ have been identified, many of them endemic to the Valencia Region, such as Mariola’s sage, cat’s tail, chamomile rim or rock tea.

BELLREGUARD Playa de Bellreguard.

Playa urbana, abierta y de arena fina con cerca de un kilómetro de longitud. Por su situación es perfecta para practicar deportes náuticos como el windsurf.

Located within a urban environment, it is a fine sand open beach of almost one kilometre long, very suitable for windsurfing and other water sports.

DAIMÚS Playa de Daimús.

Playa de arena fina y dorada en un entorno urbanizado. Está delimitada por un paseo marítimo adornado con palmeras.

Open beach of fine golden sand and rustic ambience, enclosed by dunes and Mediterranean vegetation. Very suitable for those preferring a peaceful bath.

GANDIA Playa del Nord.

Una playa con más de tres kilómetros repleta de servicios y con una anchura media de 120 metros. En el extremo sur se ubica el Club Náutico y en el norte linda con la playa de l’Auir.

A beach with almost one kilometre and a half, is the main characteristic of this crowded and well cared beach with cosmopolitan aspect.

Venecia. Situada al sur del Club Náutico, es una playa pequeña y tranquila de arena fina.

Rafalcaid. Playa de arena fina y dorada, de ambiente semiurbana.

L’Auir. Una de las últimas playas vírgenes de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Tiene una extensión de más de dos kilómetros de arena fina y dorada.

GUARDAMAR DE LA SAFOR Playa de Guardamar.

Playa de aspecto rústico, aguas tranquilas y arena fina, rodeada de naranjos que llegan casi al mismo borde del mar.

Beach of rustic aspect, with calm waters and fine sand. Its environment is determined by well cared orange trees fields almost reaching the seashore.

MIRAMAR Playa de Miramar.

Terranova-Burguera.

Se encuentra el norte del tramo costero de Oliva. Tiene casi dos kilómetros de longitud. En esta playa se encuentra un manantial de agua dulce llamado el Tou o El Clotal.

Aigua Morta.

Es la playa más próxima al marjal Pego-Oliva, mide algo más de dos kilómetros. Tiene una anchura media de aproximadamente 120 metros.

Les Deveses. Es la última playa de la provincia de Valencia, llega hasta el río Molinell y las playas de Dénia. El viento de Llebeig atrae a muchos windsurfistas.

PILES Playa de Piles.

1.400 metros de longitud y una anchura media de 20 metros definen esta playa de arena fina y aguas tranquilas. Está rodeada por un animado paseo y cuenta todo tipo de servicios.

ENERO | JANUARY En enero se celebran los porrats, unos mercados medievales que durante este mes podemos visitar en Beniopa, Oliva y Gandia-Benirredrá.

Porrats are small Mediaeval-style fairs. During these months we could visit this traditional markets in Beniopa, Oliva and Gandia-Benirredrá.

FEBRERO | FEBRUARY Visitaremos los porrats en Potries (Sant Blai), fiesta declarada de Interés Turístico de la Comunitat Valenciana y el de Sant Macià de Rótova. También a finales de mes arrancan los actos falleros con la Crida y la cabalgata del Ninot.

This month we visit the porrats in Potries (Sant Blai) and Sant Rótova Macia. Also at the end of the month starts all the previous Fallas events like the Crida and the “Cabalgata del Ninot” a satirics and ironic parade.

MARZO | MARCH El 15 de marzo se conmemora el Día de la Valldigna en el que se recuerda la fundación del Monestir de la Valldigna. Desde el 16, la Safor se viste de fallas, los actos más importantes son la Ofrenda y la Cremá. Como peculiaridad, en Gandia se celebra el Bateig, en el que un representante del Ayuntamiento y la Fallera Mayor apadrinan a un bebé.

On 15th March is commemorated Valldigna’s Day to celebrate the foundation of Valldigna’s abbey. From 16th of Mach, all the region celebrates the Fallas. Significant acts are The Plantá or The Cremá. Unique in Gandia is the Bateig, where the mayor and the Falla queen “adopt” a baby.

ABRIL | APRIL De la Semana Santa en la Safor destacan actos como el Desenclavament de Oliva (s.XVI ), se celebra el Viernes Santo en la iglesia de Sta María y representa el momento en el que Jesucristo es bajado de la Cruz. Ese mismo día en Bellreguard, “els Caps de ferro” realizan un singular relevo tras la procesión del santo Entierro. En Gandia se representa la Visitatio Sepulchri, obra de Sant Francesc de Borja. El día 25 Beniarjó festeja el día del patrón con El Ball de la Bandera, un baile en el que se rueda la bandera por diferentes partes del cuerpo sin que se enrolle.

During the Holly Week, all the towns of La Safor celebrate solemn ceremonies and processions as “Desenclavament” (XVI) in Oliva, it is celebrating in the church of Santa Maria on Good Friday. Also this Day in Bellreguard, the “Caps de ferro” perform a unique takeover after the procession of the Holy Burial, representing a Roman century, it is formed by two groups of men dressed in black wearing armor helmets and carrying spears wrapped in white silk hand-kerchief. Gandia also celebrate Visitatio Sepulchri, a religious play involving San Francisco de Borja, which features episodes of death and resurrection of Christ. And later this month, the 25th, Beniarjó celebrate their local patron saint festival with “El Ball de la bandera”, a dance with a flag, the dancer moves the flag for different parts of his body.

JULIO | JULY

Los Moros y Cristianos son una de las festividades de mayor arraigo y popularidad de Oliva. Esta fiesta está declarada de Interés Turístico Autonómico y se celebra el tercer fin de semana de julio. Mención especial merecen actos como el Desembarco moro al amanecer en le playa de la Mitja Galta y los espectaculares desfiles con las entradas de ambos bandos del viernes y el sábado por la tarde.

The Moors and Christians is one of the most traditional and popular festivals. In Oliva takes place on the third weekend in July and mock battles where they attempt to re-conquer the town are held, with parades where each army displays its flambo yant, spectacular costumes with as much pomp as possible. This festival has been declared of Autonomic Tourist Interest. Acts like the Disembarking of the Moors, at dawn on Mitja Galta beach. deserve special mention Following an arduous battle with bows and arrows, the Moorish troops conquer the town.

En Ontinyent se celebran los Moros y Cristianos, declarados Fiesta de Interés Nacional. Destacan actos como la entrada de Bandas de Música, la entrada de los dos bandos la tarde-noche del viernes o la Bajada del Cristo del sábado por la tarde.

In Ontinyent the Moors and Christians are celebrated, declared a Festival of National Interest. Events such as the entrance of the Bandas de Música (Music Bands), the entrance of the two bands on Friday evening or the Bajada del Cristo (Descent of the Christ) on Saturday afternoon.

A finales de septiembre “els Pedacets”, un personaje carnavalesco, anuncia las fiestas patronales de Bellreguard y en las que se baila Ball de la Forca, una danza originaria que data de 1861.

By the end of September Bellreguard celebrates its local patron saint Festival, Sant Miquel, in honor of its patron the day before it take place the “Ball of Forca”, an original dance that dates from 1861 is danced. Tavernes also celebrates its local festivity.

OCTUBRE | OCTOBER

Gandia celebra la Fira i Festes con la llegada del Tío de la Porra, un personaje satírico que al son de los tambores recorre la ciudad y saca a los niños de los colegios para que vivan las fiestas. En Albaida son los Moros y Cristianos quienes invaden sus calles.

The Fira i Festes in Gandia is opened in early October by the comical figure, the Tío de la Porra. A humorous parade through the town accompanied by drums, children are dragged out of school to join in the festival. Albaida are the Moors and Christians who invade its streets during these days.

DICIEMBRE | DECEMBER

Desde 1979 se celebra en Gandia el Cant de la Sibil·la que se interpreta en la ermita de Santa Ana durante la misa del Gallo (24 de diciembre). Se trata de un canto profético que se remonta al siglo XV. Otra cita obligada también en Gandia es la carrera de San Silvestre, una cita deportiva que va creciendo año tras año y que reúne a miles de participantes disfrazados.

During Christmas in Gandia, midnight mass has undergone a revival of its traditions, like the hymn El Cant de la Sibil·la, which has been sung since 1979 in the Santa Anna chapel. This is a song of the Prophets dating back to the 15th century. Another must also is the San Silvestre race, in this competition people participate wearing a Christmas disguise.

FIESTAS Destacan las fiestas patronales en honor a San Miguel Arcángel y La Divina Pastora, en la tercera semana del mes de Agosto. Merece especial mención la Ofrenda y Procesión de la Divina Pastora. Al final de la procesión, la gente del

LA SAFOR- VALLDIGNA

La playa de Bellreguard es un lugar tranquilo donde disfrutar de las vacaciones en familia sin renunciar a ningún servicio o para vivir las propuestas más singulares de la localidad.

Como els Caps de ferro o cabos, que el Viernes Santo realizan un singular relevo tras la procesión del Santo Entierro. En representación de una centuria romana, lo forman dos grupos de hombres vestidos de negro con casco de armadura y lanza con un pañuelo de seda blanco enrollado. El domingo de Resurrección, con motivo del Encontre, reaparecen con otra indumentaria que combina el rojo y verde.

De mil colores son els Pedacets, personaje de origen carnavalesco que es el encargado de anunciar, junto al Tio de la Porra, las fiestas a finales del verano.

Y durante todo el año se pueden disfrutar Els camins de Sotaia, un paseo a pie entre los parajes regados por la acequia, que lleva su nombre entre Bellreguard, Rafelcofer y Potries. Una ruta que homenajea al etnotbotánico e hijo predilecto de Bellreguard Joan Pellicer para dar a conocer toda su riqueza patrimonial e histórica con los diferentes matices y colores de cada estación._ Bellreguard beach is a quiet place to enjoy the family holiday without leaving off any service as you could live the most unique proposals of the town.

One of the most interesting things to see are the els Caps de ferro or cabos, which on Good Friday perform a unique takeover after the procession of the Holy Burial.

Daimús

LA SAFOR-VALLDIGNA

Situada en una ubicación privilegiada, junto al mar y a pocos kilómetros de la capital de la comarca, Daimús cuenta con una magnífica playa de arena fina que se puede disfrutar durante la mayor parte del año.

Daimús dispone de un interesante patrimonio arquitectónico como la iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol, construida durante el XIX, la Casa Grande, una casa señorial de finales del XIX y el antiguo lavadero, en la calle Assagador. Interesantes resultan los vestigios de la época romana en el yacimiento del Huerto del Conde y el sepulcro de Baebia Quieta. Entre su patrimonio natural destaca la playa de arena, perfecta para disfrutar en verano. Un paseo marítimo recorre los dos kilómetros de fachada litoral. Son muchas las actividades culturales y festivas que se realizan, como las fiestas patronales en honor a San Pedro Apóstol, los Moros y Cristianos, las fiestas de los Pedregals y las fiestas de la playa que están dedicadas a los turistas que visitan la localidad._ Daimus is located in a privileged location, next to the sea and a few kilometers from the capital of the region. Allí se encuentra el Ayuntamiento, erigido en 1778, conserva de esta época la fachada. De estilo neoclásico, está rematado por una balaustrada con cuatro bustos de piedra que representan las cuatro virtudes del gobernante. En la misma plaza está ubicada la Colegiata de Santa María, un claro ejemplo de la arquitectura gótica catalano-aragonesa de los siglos XIV y XV. El monasterio de Santa Clara, muy cerca del Museo Arqueológico, es otro de los monumentos que visitar. En su interior se encuentra la Torre del Baluarte. Parte de este edificio está adosado a las antiguas murallas de la ciudad, datadas entre los siglos XIII y XIV. Al final de la calle Mayor se encuentra la plaza de las Escuelas Pías, otro de los puntos cívico-religiosos de la ciudad donde se ubicaba la antigua universidad, instaurada en 1549 por Sant Francesc de Borja.

Gandia también cuenta con otros edificios de interés. Uno de ellos es el convento de Sant Roc, situado en la zona de la Vila Nova y la actual Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós, en el paseo de les Germanies, es la edificación civil más importante de la ciudad. Data de finales del siglo XIX. El edificio se complementa con dos jardines laterales que comunican con uno posterior.

Entre los barrios de Gandia, el Raval es uno de los más atractivos de la ciudad.

Fiestas y Tradiciones En el calendario festivo gandiense hay tres citas muy importantes: las Fallas, la Semana Santa y las estas patronales. Las Fallas en Gandia, en las que participan más de veinte comisiones, son conocidas por la calidad de sus monumentos, que la sitúan en una de las mejores expresiones de esta tradición valenciana por detrás de la capital. Entre sus actos destaca el tradicional Bateig, en el que un recién nacido próximo a la festividad de San José es bautizado con la fallera mayor de la ciudad y el alcalde como padrinos. Los pasacalles, la Ofrenda Floral a la Virgen, y un impresionante ambiente festivo hacen de las Fallas una experiencia inolvidable.

La Font d’en Carròs LA SAFOR- VALLDIGNA

La Font d’En Carròs conjuga un inesperado patrimonio histórico con unos parajes de montaña fuera de lo común, posibilidades de alojamiento en casas y hoteles rurales y bares que ofrecen platos típicos de la zona.

La historia de la Font d’en Carròs comienza con la dominación romana, aunque son escasos los restos de aquella época. Tendremos que esperar a la invasión árabe del año 711 para encontrar en la población algunos vestigios.

Esta población cuenta con un rico patrimonio natural. Encontramos la ruta de les Covatelles, que conduce al punto más alto del término; la de les Fontanelles, entre barrancos y peñas; la del Castell, que lleva hasta las ruinas del Castillo del Rebollet; la Ruta dels Molins, que recorre los antiguos molinos de agua de la localidad, junto a la acequia madre de Oliva y la del Rebollet. Otro elemento de interés histórico es la muralla del Rafalí donde se estableció el primer núcleo de población de La Font d’en Carròs. El Rafalí está emplazado al sudeste del casco urbano.

El límite oriental coincide con el asentamiento urbano de la baja Edad Media y la Edad Moderna. Las ampliaciones urbanas más significativas durante la Edad Moderna se detectan al norte y al oeste del recinto primigenio. Este primer núcleo de población estuvo amurallado. Posteriormente tuvo una extensión aproximada de 800 m2 lineales de los que aún se conservan restos. En la parte este y sur, quedan unos 100 metros de lienzo de muro, con un trazado perteneciendo al siglo XIV y construida al estilo morisco. Además, hay indicios de la existencia de dos torres._

The Font d’En Carròs combines an unexpected historical heritage with some unusual mountain landscapes, accommodation possibilities in rural houses and hotels, the bars offer typical dishes of the area.

The history of the Font d’en Carròs begins with the Roman empire, although there are few remains from that era. We will have to wait for the Arab invasion in 711 to find some vestiges in the town.

The most significant urban extensions during the Modern Age are detected to the north and west of the original enclosure. This first population center was walled. Marjal Natural Park The Marjal Pego-Oliva Natural Park is a wetland characterised by the high quality of its waters. It is confined between the beds of the rivers Bullent and Racons and bounded by the Mostalla, Segaria and Migdia mountain ranges. It was a former lagoon separated from the sea by a large ridge of sand dunes.

At the foot of the mountains, its clear waters flood the park, forming springs and rivers, recreating extraordinarily unique landscapes.

Font Salada Spring Those who wish to bathe in a private place con go to the natural pool known as Font Salada. They can enjoy this natural spring both in winter and in summer, since the water stays warm throughout the year, and has also traditionally been recognised as beneficial in the fight against skin diseases.

Palma de Gandia LA SAFOR- VALLDIGNA Palma de Gandia es un encantador pueblo del interior de la comarca con un interesante patrimonio artístico y un rico entorno agrícola.

Su ubicación, muy cerca de Gandia y enclavado en un privilegiado entorno natural, convierten a Palma de Gandia en un destino perfecto en el que combinar naturaleza con interesantes visitas a su patrimonio como la iglesia parroquial de San Miquel Arcángel, obra de los monjes del Monestir de Sant Jeroni (1392-1406) y donde destaca la utilización de las baldosas rojas, que recuerda a los castillos islámicos. Otro de los elementos interesantes es el Llavador del Safareig, un antiguo lavador público desde el que se tiene acceso al Safareig de l’Horta, balsa rectangular del siglo XVI o XVII. Fuera del pueblo, los elementos más relevantes son los relacionados con la gestión del agua, como los dos arcos que se encuentran entre Palma y la Font de la Murtera y que permitían acercar el agua para beber y regar. El segundo arco es el más interesante, data del siglo XVIII y soporta un canal de 8 m de longitud, elevado a unos 4,5 m sobre el lecho del barranco.

El Assut de Vernissa, construido entre 1518 y 1520, que se reubicó a principios del siglo XIX en un emplazamiento superior es otro elemento interesante. Las Arcadas se construyeron en 1407 para trasvasar agua a la acequia madre de Vernissa, son dos acueductos con dos arcadas, una de ellas es soportada por tres pilares en medio del río de Palma, con cuatro arcos rebajado y menor, con dos arcos idénticas a los anteriores. Palma también cuenta con dos interesantes referencias, uno son los restos del castillo de Palma, situado en el termino de Alfauir y que ha sido declarado Bien de Interés Cultural y la Cova de la Clau donde se encontraron pinturas de arte rupestre._

Palma de Gandia is a charming village in the inner region with an interesting artistic heritage and a rich agricultural environment.

Its location is very close to Gandia, nestled in a rich natural environment. This makes Palma de Gandia a perfect destination in which to combine nature with interesting visits to its heritage such as the parish church of San Miquel Arcångel, the work of Monestir of Sant Jeroni (1392-1406). They emphasize the use of red tiles, reminiscent of Islamic castles. Another interesting element is the Llaberdor del Safareig, an old public washing machine from which you have access to the Safareig de l’Horta, a rectangular raft from the 16th or 17th century. Outside of the town, the most relevant features are those related to water management, such as the two arches that are between Palma and the Font de la Murtera, which allowed the water to be brought closer to drink and irrigate. The second arch is the most interesting, dating back to the eighteenth century it supports a channel of 8m in length, raised to about 4.5 m above the bed of the ravine.

The Assisi of Vernissa, built between the years of 1518 and 1520 was relocated at the beginning of the 19th century to a higher site. The Arches were built in the year 1407 to transfer water to the mother ditch of Vernissa. They are two aqueducts with two arcades, one of them is supported by three pillars in the middle of the Palma river, with four reduced smaller arches, with two arches identical to the previous ones. Palma also has two interesting references, one is the remains of the castle of Palma, located in Alfauir and which has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. The second is the Cova de la Clau where paintings of rock art were found._

Piles es el lugar perfecto para pasar las vacaciones. Una playa de aguas cristalinas distinguida con la bandera azul, la Q de calidad y la Q de Qualitur.

Piles es una población rodeada de naranjos, con una magnífica playa que conserva una de las mejores líneas de cordón dunar de la comarca. En la playa se encuentra el parc de la Torre una zona de 45.000 m2 presidido por la torre de guaita, construida en 1573.

El Ayuntamiento realiza durante la época estival visitas guiadas a este edificio histórico. En el parque se realizan diferentes eventos culturales, sesiones de cine al aire libre, conciertos, actividades infantiles...

Las fiestas en honor a nuestros patrones son: Sant Felip Neri el 25 de mayo y Santa Bárbara el 4 de diciembre. El 8 y 9 de junio se realiza la fiesta de Moros y Cristianos, del 12 al 15 de junio se celebran las fiestas patronales.

Piles cuenta con numerosos bares y restaurantes que ofrecen lo más variado de la gastronomía local y valenciana, aparte de la paella valenciana podemos encontrar una gran variedad de arroces, pescados, tapas, etc y la fruta de excelencia, la naranja valenciana…_ Piles is the perfect place to enjoy the holidays. L’Alqueria de la Comtessa LA SAFOR- VALLDIGNA Ésta es una tranquila población rodeada de naranjos, entre Gandia y Oliva, perfecta para disfrutar de unos dias de relax en un entorno rural.

L’Alqueria de la Comtessa, con cerca de 1.500 habitantes y muy próxima a la costa, cuenta con interesantes lugares de interés como la Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol (1909), de estilo neoclásico, que destaca por sus grandes proporciones, la gran cúpula sin linterna y los detalles eclécticos y neo bizantinos del exterior. También las fachadas históricas como la casa de los Barbers (c/Martirs, 27) o la Casa Gran de finales del s. XVIII (c/Pelota, 14). En sus alrededores podemos visitar la Ermita de Sant Miquel y la de “Sants de la Pedra”, ubicada en una tradicional casona rural y que aún conserva una pileta de agua bendita y un pequeño púlpito de madera. También merece una visita el Rabat, un antiguo caserío situado a los pies de la Montaña de Sant Miquel y el Molino de Arroz (1736) que aún hoy está en funcionamiento. El Real de Gandia LA SAFOR-VALLDIGNA El Real de Gandia está situada entre el río Serpis o río de Alcoy, una ubicación que ha marcado su historia.

El municipio cuenta con un interesante patrimonio artístico como la iglesia parroquial de la Visitación de Nuestra Señora, su monumento más emblemático, un edificio de planta de cruz latina, cubierto por una bóveda de cañón articulada por arcos del que destaca el altar de la Virgen del Roser, la capilla dedicada a la Virgen de los Desamparados, la del Cristo del Amparo, una copia idéntica se encuentra en la parroquia de Copiapo en Chile, y la del patrón del municipio, el Beato Carmelo Bolta. Sus muros presentan una policromía recientemente restaurada propios del barroco discreto de la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. También son interesantes las pinturas murales en el exterior de la cúpula.

La rutas del agua El Real cuenta con una interesante ruta turística llamada “Es fils de l’aigua” donde se recorre el término municipal, a través de los hilos de la red, el gran sistema de riego que es la acequia del rio Vernissa, con una antigüedad de más de 1000 años. El itinerario empieza en el parque de la plaça de la Llibertat y recorre puntos de interés como el Sifó, el Molí de Dalt, uno de los dos molinos que se conservan del siglo XVIII, también visita los partidos de agua de la Sèquia Mare, la casilla la partida de Benisacareig y finalmente la Casa de Cultura.

Calendario Festivo El Real de Gandia celebra sus fiestas patronales el último fin de semana de julio y el primer fin de semana de agosto, el punto de partida de las fiestas es la fiesta de les Quintaes, y entre un fin de semana festivo y el otro, es la semana cultural.

Desde el 2018 se celebra durante el mes de octubre un Porrat, con mercado de productos tradicionales, actuaciones y atracciones feriales ._

The municipality has an interesting artistic heritage such as the parish church of the Visitación de Nuestra Señora, the most emblematic monument. Situado a los pies del monte Mondúver, Xeresa destaca por disponer de los cuatro paisajes valencianos por excelencia, ya que combina a la perfección montaña, zonas húmedas, huertos citrícolas y playas vírgenes, como la de l’Ahuir.

Entre ellas destacamos la Ruta dels Corrals y la del sendero homologado PR-CV 153, la cual nos permite discurrir por la pista forestal que se sitúa en el lado del barranco del Mondúver y nos hace posible admirar el paisaje vegetal virgen que se conserva actualmente.

Por su carácter ancestral, hay que resaltar el sistema hidráulico de la Font del Molí, infraestructura construida en época islámica y modificada a lo largo de los siglos para llevar agua hasta los campos del pueblo.

De gran importancia es también la ruta del “Racó de la ferradura”. Sendero de gran valor botánico que recorre las montañas más próximas a Xeresa con vistas en todo momento a la llanura litoral y el mar Mediterráneo. En ella el visitante podrá adentrarse en una antigua cantera del siglo XIX y observar de primera mano las huellas dejadas en la piedra por los maestros canteros._

LA SAFOR- VALLDIGNA

Villalonga es un municipio de interior situado a los pies de la sierra de la Safor y a 76 km de Valencia y a 110 km de Alicante. El escenario perfecto para los amantes del senderismo.

En el extenso término municipal de Villalonga, el tercero de la Safor en magnitud (43,3 km2), se encuentra la montaña que da el nombre a la comarca, la Serra de la Safor. Su rico patrimonio natural es uno de sus atractivos para los amantes del senderismo con varias rutas como en la Via Verda del Serpis, el Racó del Duc, la ruta circular Font de la Mata, Camí a Forna o Circ de la Safor y rincones únicos como La Finestra, desde donde se tiene una panorámica excepcional de la población. Destaca también las dos Neveras, la de la Safor y la del Almirant, ésta última recién recuperada y con 13 m. de diámetro.

La población cuenta con una larga historia que se muestra en su patrimonio monumental como el Castillo de Villalonga (Bien de Interés Cultural) la Capilla de la Mare de Déu de la Font, el edificio más emblemático del municipio, ya que guarda la imagen de la patrona de Villalonga, una talla de madera policromada de estilo bizantino de tan solo 12 cm y la La iglesia, del siglo XVIII. Entre los edificios civiles, destaca el Gran Café El Centro, edificio modernista de principios del siglo XX restaurado en 2011 que conserva parte de su suelo y las paredes revestidas con cerámica tradicional valenciana así como la Casa de Cultura, con fachada también modernista. Una de las peculiaridades que hacen especial Villalonga son sus azulejos cerámicos pintados y colocados sobre las paredes exteriores de las casas y que suman un total de 14. Otro punto de interés es la fuente de los 16 chorros.

Y por lo que respecta a su gastronomía, el Blat Picat es su plato más emblemático, un guiso con carne, verduras, garbanzos y trigo. Otros platos interesantes, y muy deliciosos, son las cocas escaldadas que se elaboran con harina de “blat”, la coca de pasta bona, arroz con costra, arroz al horno._

Xeraco es un municipio de costa que se encuentra en un entorno excepcional de playa y montaña que nos hará disfrutar de una mágica estancia.

Visitas guiadas programadas para la Semana Santa de 2019 19 de abril. Ruta senderista y taller de herbero por el barranc dels Tarongers.

Recorrido por un paraje espectacular de barranco y bosque de ribera de gran belleza donde descubriremos antiguos molinos, acequias, azudes… finalizaremos con un pequeño taller de elaboración de herbero.

20 de abril. Visita a los refugios antiaéreos. En esta visita conoceremos como se vivió la guerra civil en Ontinyent a través de dos refugios antiaéreos: el del Regall y el de la antigua fábrica de Tortosa i Delgado, recientemente rehabilitados de entre los diversos que se construyeron durante el conflicto.

21 de abril. Ruta cicloturista “Pedalejant Ontinyent”. Descubre la gran belleza del paisaje agrícola tradicional de Ontinyent en una ruta cicloturista de fácil nivel. Recorreremos el término por los campos, masías, fincas, fuentes y bosques que rodean la ciudad, permitiéndonos romper con la rutina.

Doramos el pollo y el conejo troceados directamente en la paella. A continuación añadimos la verdura y sofreímos el conjunto un par de minutos. Hacemos un hueco en el sofrito para echar el tomate, luego añadimos el pimentón. Vertemos el agua con un poco de sal y dejamos cocer unos 30 minutos.

Rectificamos de sal. Añadimos el arroz y el azafrán procurando que el primero quede bien repartido.

Dejamos hervir unos 7 minutos sin dejar remover a fuego fuerte, después lo bajamos al mínimo y seguimos con la cocción durante 5 minutos más. Si no le queda casi caldo, se deja 3 minutos a fuego suave.

Lightly fry the chicken and rabbit in the paella pan until golden-brown. Add the vegetables and lightly fry for a couple of minutes. Make a hole in the middle of the mixture and pour the tomato in it, then the paprika.

Pour in the water with a pinch of salt and leave to simmer for 30 minutes. Taste and add salt if necessary.

Add rice and saffron, ensuring the saffron is well-distributed. Leave to boil on a high temperature for seven minutes without stirring, then reduce heat to minimum and leave to simmer for five more minutes, or for three minutes if most of the liquid has been absorved.

Ingredientes • 200 gr de carne • 2 morcilla de cebolla • 125 gr garbanzos cocidos • 100 gr de tocino

• 1/2 l. de caldo de carne • 300 gr de arroz • 1 patata mediana • 3 tomates

Calentamos el caldo de carne. Freímos los ajos en la cazuela de barro, incorporamos la patata en rodajas, los dos tomates partidos, las morcillas y el tercer tomate picado. Añadimos una pizca de pimentón y enseguida el arroz, removemos y vertemos el caldo caliente. A continuación ponemos los garbanzos, la carne y el tocino. Rectificamos de sal y cuando empiece a hervir, metemos la cazuela en el horno que habremos calentardo previamente entre 15 y 20 minutos y listo.
