SOUNDTRACKSCRIPT– TO GOWITH STORYBOARD Scene 1 and 2 EXT – Kalia walking to the school scene • Music/mood: There will be happy non diagetic sound track – Johnny Nash “I can see clearly now” this music will create a generally happy walking mood, just a day in the life • Sound effects: General footstep sounds to imply realism of this character walking to school – in both scenes • DIALOGUE:none in these scenes Scene 3 and 4 EXT – introducing the villains (Gein +Lein) scene • Music/mood: One of the characters instantly falls in love – then a sound track by Nina Simone called here comes the sun plays whilst they see her walking up in. the mood will be a love mood which is achieved by the music and sounds • Sound effects: heart beating sound to imply love in scene 4 • DIALOGUE:Will be diagetic recorded voice over of the villains acknowledging this girl character – dialogue will say “ look its Kalia! “ of characters talking to each other only in scene 3, no dialogue in scene 4. Scene 5 and 6 EXT – interacting with Kalia • Music/mood: Sound track by Nina Simone called here comes the sun is still playing but this time the volume isn’t as loud as scene 3 and 4 in both scenes. The mood is mixed here, a love mood coming from the villains hence the sound track but a normal everyday life scene for Kalia as she is just walking to school. • Sound effects: There will also be general footsteps again in both scenesbut when the character kalia drops the pig the pig will make a little squeal sound so the audience acknowledge the drop in scene 6. • DIALOGUE:Will be diagetic dialogue of the characters saying things such as “woo!” “Oh year!” “She’s a beauty!” constantly complimenting her in scene 5. Gein saying “hmmm” generating an idea in scene 6. Scene 7 and 8 EXT – the idea scene • Music/mood: Mission impossible sound track plays in both scenes. The mood is very mysterious/ action planned as this theme song represents this • Sound effects: light bulb sound “tings” to show an idea being represented in scene 7, no sound effects in scene 8. • DIALOGUE:idea noises from gein such as “hmmmm” and a response from lein such as “huh? What?” in scene 7, no dialogue in scene 8. Scene 9 and 10 EXT – executing the plan – introducing Mr. Brooke • Music/mood: mission impossible scene is still playing at this point in scene 9. The mood is still mysterious in scene 9 but in scene 10 the mood is more annoyed as the plan has been sabotaged this is shown by the cut of the music. • Sound effects: Character goes to pick up the dropped pig the – however before he grabs it a DVD sound being ripped will play and the music will stop

in the end of scene 9 – at this point someone else has picked it up – no music in scene 10. DIALOGUE:Then there will be dialogue of the characters screaming and cursing “HEY SHAPEBOY” aiming to pick on this shape character (Mr. Brooke) who’s picked up this item in scene 10.
Scene 11 and 12 EXT – The bullying scene • Music/mood: angry music playing by limp bizkit here in both scenes. Angry mood is created from this angry music, as they are irritated and are villains • Sound effects: general fighting thud sounds such as – “bang” “clash” in both scenes • DIALOGUE:character screaming “help, ouch” only in scene 12. Scene 13 and 14 EXT – Kalia realizes the bullying is happening Music/mood: At this point you will hear small sounds of the bullying and screams from the helpless character, aswell a song called “ Chariots of fire” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ydVPf0R13cwill be played when the character starts approaching the scene at scene 14 only, no music at scene 13. A superhero mood is created through use of this slow motion song and content of these scenes Sound effects: running slow motion footsteps to show she is going in for the rescue. DIALOGUE:moment of realization shown from kalia saying “OH MY GOD!“ in scene 14. Scene 15 and 16 EXT – Sorting out the bullies scene • Music/mood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSY4Yi2ypno - “requiem for a dream” this tension building song will be playing when kalia is telling the bullies off, only near the end of the song becausethat’s where it’s tempo is fastest to build up this scene – played in both scenes. An angry mood from kalia telling off the bullies, a moment of survival for Mr. Brooke who is the character getting bullied, and a sad moment for the bullies, this theme song used can relate to all three of these moods. • Sound effects: none • DIALOGUE:constant shouting from kalia dialogue such as “how would you like to be bullied? How do you think a girl will approve of this and find this attractive?” in both scenes. Scene 17 and 18 EXT – Bullies getting sorted out • Music/mood: requiem for a dream sound track is still playing in scene 17; in scene 18 it quickly cuts to a split screen of kalia and Mr. Brooke and the song “what a wonderful world” starts playing to represent that Mr. Brooke is in love. The requiem for a dream song will reflect an angry mood for the bullies, but the change in song will have a change in mood in scene 17 which is a loving mood. • Sound effects: heart beating sound from Mr. Brooke who has started falling for kalia in both scenes, more acknowledgeable in scene 18 though. • DIALOGUE:Kalia: “You should be ashamed of yourself!!” in scene 17, scene 18 first dialogue from Mr. Brooke stuttering “she’s amazing!”
Scene 19 and 20 EXT - The victory walk starting scene • Music/mood: song – “what a wonderful world” continues playing in both sceneswill reflect a moment of glory mood for Kalia and Mr. Brooke, whilst the bullies stand and watch. • Sound effects: footsteps of the characters walking away in both scenes, broken heart noise/glass break to represent how the bullies feel aswell as a heart beating noise for shot 20. • DIALOGUE:“you saved my pig!!” Kalia is thanking Mr. Brooke for doing a nice deed in shot 19, no dialogue in scene 20. Scene 21 and 22 EXT – The moment of realization scene • Music/mood: “Requiem for a dream” song starts playing, but this time the beginning as it is more slowly paced to represent sadness. • Sound effects: weeping/crying noises such as tear drops in both scenes. • DIALOGUE:Gein – “She has gone, NOOO!!” in scene 22. Scene 23 and 24 EXT – The regret scene followed into the last still image to end the animation • Music/mood: Requiem for a dream still continues at shot 23, however in shot 24 a dramatic saw dubstep song plays until the end of the animation. The epic saw dubstep song will represent an epic ending which leaves the villains in regret and the hero’s happy • Sound effects: none. • DIALOGUE:overall regret from Gein – “ its all my fault, if only I hadn’t been such a bully I would of not been this upset, I need to change the way I treat people becauseI realize it’s unfair!!!” only said in shot 23, no dialogue in shot 24. Scene 25 EXT – Final still image including ending marquee lesson • Music/mood: saw dubstep theme carries on till end of the animation. Shows this epic frenzy of a lesson – achieved by epic sound the saw theme creates. • Sound effects: none. • DIALOGUE:on screen dialogue marquee off a short lesson being taught – “now remember kids don’t bully or treat people who are different! Be nice!” End of animation.
