SEATING

Our bench seating is made from recycled materials and certified wood species. The recycled materials consist of post consumer and post industrial recycled glass, plastic, tires, transportation cast parts, metal, cardboard, newspapers, and agricultural waste. We source through existing waste streams as well as pilot programs available for using your own waste.

RECYCLED CONTENT

We use certified wood from well managed forest - The FSC Principles and Criteria (P&C) describe how the forests have to be managed to meet the social, economic, ecological, cultural and spiritual needs of present and future generations. They include managerial aspects as well as environmental and social requirements. FSC rules are the strictest and FSC’s social and environmental requirements.

We use metal scrap which is a term used to describe recyclable materials left over from every manner of product consumption, such as parts of vehicles, building supplies, and surplus materials. Our supply chains have the highest rated recycled content used in flat bar, tubing and cast material used to make our products.

RECYCLED CONTENT

Our recycled plastic consists of HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, PET and plastic fibers. sometimes completely different in form from their original state. For instance, this could mean melting down soft drink bottles and then casting them as plastic chairs and tables. Typically a plastic is not recycled into the same type of plastic, and products made from recycled plastics are often not recyclable.

GENERAL INFORMATION

WARRANTY

FREIGHT/REDELIVERY OF FREIGHT TERMS

Products represented by SAGE in Design (SAGE) are covered under manufacturer warranty and are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and reasonable use and service for a period of one year from the date of initial shipment. This warranty does not extend to damages resulting from shipment or storage, or to damage resulting from accident, misuse, installation or alteration, after shipment from factory. In addition, SAGE is not responsible for natural or characteristic variations in colors, texture, grain or appearance of materials. This warranty does not extend to the matching of color, texture, grain or appearance of materials. There are no other warranties except as expressly set forth in these paragraphs, either expressed or implied.

SAGE welcomes buyers to handle their own freight. Unless otherwise specified by the buyer, SAGE reserves the right to select the “best way” surface carrier. Freight charges will be collect unless other arrangements have been made the purchaser. When circumstances require or the customer specifies “Prepay and Add”, a surcharge in the amount of twenty-five (25) percent over the actual freight cost will be levied. “Prepay and Add” freight charges and the surcharge will be included on the invoice. When the customer is not ready to accept merchandise and redelivery is necessary, and no notification of the fact is given to the factory at least one week prior to the scheduled shipping date, the actual costs for freight restocking and re-handling, plus five (5) percent of the order value will be billed to the purchaser.

TERMS

ITEM WEIGHT

SAGE requires a fifty (50) percent deposit with signed purchase order or letter of confirmation. Balance is due net thirty (30) days from date of final invoice on approved credit. Full payment is required with purchase order or letter of confirmation on orders under five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars. Prices are F.O.B. point of manufacture unless otherwise specified. If payment is not made within thirty (30) days from date of invoice, customer shall be liable for interest charges of up to twenty (20) percent per month (twenty-four percent per annum) and collection costs, including attorney’s fee. Payment terms may be negotiated on a project by project basis based on approved credit. Terms of payment may be altered at any time in the event the credit of the buyer becomes impaired. Products shall remain the property of SAGE until the purchase has been fully paid for.

Weights on items in catalog are approximate. Actual shipping weight will vary due to packaging and dunnage.

SHIPMENT DAMAGE/SHORTAGE CLAIMS All merchandise is packed to comply with carrier requirements. All shipments should be carefully inspected by the consignee BEFORE acceptance and the delivering carrier should be requested to record any damage or shortage. If further damage is found after delivery, immediate inspection by the delivering carrier should be requested. Notification of concealed damages must be made within fifteen (15) days. CAUTION: After obtaining a clear receipt of shipments, the delivering carrier is no long held responsible for damages or shortages. Neither the carrier nor PPI will be held responsible for concealed damage claims if shipments are left unopened. Notification of concealed damages must be made to the delivering carrier with three (3) days after delivery. Shortage claims reported after thirty (30) days beyond shipment date will not be honored.

CANCELLATION AND CHANGES TO ORDER Cancellation of orders is governed by the stage of processing and a minimum charge of fifty (50) percent to one hundred (100) percent may be imposed to cover partially completed work. Special orders may not be canceled or returned. Order changes may result in production rescheduling. Orders entered and confirmed cannot be changed or canceled without SAGE consent. Impaired. Products shall remain the property of SAGE until the purchase has been fully paid for.

LOST SHIPMENT

RETURNS

SAGE will issue a copy of the Bill of Lading to the customer on date of shipment. Please notify if shipment is not received within thirty (30) days of the shipment date. Neither SAGE nor the carrier will assume obligation for lost or damaged shipment claims after ten (10) days of the shipping date for U.S. shipments, after thirty (30) days of the shipping date for overseas shipments.

Merchandise may not be returned without prior written consent and shipping instructions. Special orders may not be returned. Return shipments, when accepted, are subject to a re-handling and restocking charge, the amount of which will be determined after the merchandise is received and inspected. All freight or express charges must be prepaid on return shipment; otherwise, they will not be accepted. Damaged products and all special orders may not be returned under any conditions.
