company. They are servants to the organization’s purpose and can avoid high-pressure situations by managing expectations.
2. Assign Tasks Leaders are not meant to do everything themselves. They are sometimes overwhelmed by responsibilities. Some can be allocated to other employees, while some are strictly for the person in charge. A productive leader knows when and who to allocate tasks and projects.
3. Showcase Realistic Optimism When things go wrong, a positive mental attitude must deal with the setbacks. They are important lessons on how to be prepared for something similar in the future.
4. Drop Perfectionism It is normal for leaders to think that they can lead perfectly. However, everyone can make a wrong call or error. Striving for perfectionism adds pressure to the human body and mind. Leaders should instead strive for improvement and constant progress.
5. Self-Management To successfully manage pressure, an individual needs to understand how building internal capacity helps turn panic to assurance and negativity to positivity. A leader can only manage others when he or she can cope well under pressure.
6. Exercise Numerous health studies have proven that apart from overall physical health, physical exercise reduces stress. It minimizes anxiety and boosts concentration; thereby, one can make more informed and better decisions.
Conclusion Leaders are not born with extraordinary abilities to handle stress better than everyone else. They realized that coping with stress is a necessity in the path towards achievement.
