FOREWORD FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR We started 2016 with a renewed resolve to raise the bar in all aspects of our business – be it expanding to new markets, building more specialized teams tuned for excellence, or employee-development through learning. Thanks to the contribution of each member of the Intercoil family, we have witnessed encouraging progress in our efforts. One of the most noteworthy developments in Q1 – 2016 is our progress in Franchising & Licensing efforts. Initiated in 2015, F&L has gained considerable momentum - our licensee in Kenya has begun business in full swing, and other potential franchise partners are nearly concluding agreements and starting business in earnest. Such developments are crucial steps in our bid for global expansion through F&L. A strong organizational foundation is necessary to gear up for expansion. We are committed to building a truly corporate culture at Intercoil – an ecosystem essential for us to emerge as a truly global brand. As an organization, we have added several key members to lend clear-minded focus to strategic departments – be it retail, marketing, training, supply chain etc. In our pursuit for continuous development, this quarter we have participated in global trade expos and industry-level knowledge sharing events to learn from other companies and share our success story. While doing so, we have won some laurels; one of them being the ‘best presentation’ title for showcasing Kaizen initiatives at Intercoil, at an event organized by the Department of Economic Development. Amid intense business action, we have taken time out to relax and bond as one team, through various employee engagement events. In 2016 we look forward to a slew of new product introductions, new business partnerships and spreading our geographical reach far beyond our home turf of MENA. While the geo-political situation of the region and the world at large is a bit cautious at the start of the year, we are confident that our strategy will pay off on several fronts and we look forward to engaging our employees and customers alike with passion & commitment in our endeavor to offer healthy sleep & healthy life.
