From this table, it is demonstrated that the existing units in the neighborhood do not fulfill the ideal habitable space requirements. Hence it is our challenge that in our design we satisfy the space requirements necessity with respect to the occupants and making it sensitive to their lifestyle and daily needs Under Ashraya scheme , the residents of Rajiv nagar were given plots of size 1.5cents. With addition to the space requirement issue the colony is poorly maintained with lack of basic services and amenities, thus making it inhabitable environment

The people residing in this area mainly consist of the skilled and unskilled laborers who are the daily wage earners For these sections, there is no specific travelling or conveyance issues, as their place of work is not fixed But, there even is a chunk of the population who had their places of work around the city. These sections spend around more than Rs 500 a month as travelling charges So the residents staying on the ground floor opened up shops in their houses As they converted a part of the living space into the shops, many of them are dissatisfied with the size of the tenements

2. A settling phase follows to allow biological solids settle A consortium of Anaerobic Microbial Inoculum (AMI) has been formulated and adopted to work at temperature as low as 52°C to 50°C This is the component which acts as inoculums (seed material) to the bio digester and converts the organic waste into biogas and carbon dioxide The anaerobic process inactivates the pathogens responsible for water borne diseases. The optimum temperature is maintained by microbial heat, insulation of the reactor.
4. Excess sludge from the reactor is pumped out periodically to the sludge holding tank, which could be used as manure for farming
1. The reactor is allowed to fill with raw wastewater The filling phase is divided into stages that include aeration to reduce the Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and to nitrify ammonia and then mixing without aeration to promote denitrification ( removal of nitrogen)
