B D URBAN STRATEGY
In search of the “artifact-architecture” counterpart to the workings of ones interiority, this project began with the attempt to delineate typologies of the state of ones mind understood through the concepts of Freudian psychoanalysis. Inspired by the nature of ink-suspensions and concept of the transition of a pure droplet of minimum surface/ maximum volume into a suspension of maximum surface/minimum volume, this architecture of interiority seeks to invoke the greatest possible UHÁHFWLRQ of a users memory and conscious through the superimposition, layering, and elapsing vitrines displaying suspensions of complex geometries and forms. Consequently, the artifact is programmed with a NFDIBOJTN JO XIJDI BMM TVTQFOTJPOT FNBOBUF BOE mMUFS UISPVHI UIF MBOETDBQF SFTVMUJOH JO UIF sedimentation of the users interiority.

B D LIBRARY
Situated in a JVYULY context of the Ironbound neighborhood in Newark, NJ, the Branch Library was designed as a counterpart to the distinct bend of Ferry Street creating an urban gesture that M\UULSZ the adjacent public park activating the corner. In mapping out the open spaces of the neighborhood, a [`WVSVN` was developed consisting of the gap, the back lot, the front lot, and the side lot. This study aided in the design of the public outdoor space of the library creating the plaza type on the side.
