Job Seekers Travel Agents & Job Rackets Strict rules should be framed in the proposed NRI policy to curb the gullible agents who use different ways to attract youth Documents issued from their office should be authenticated by GAD, HRD etc. Special department should be created in NRI ministry with officials from police and labor departments on deputation with full authority to take action against such agents Awareness campaign should to taken up to educate youth to use only genuine ways to search overseas employment

Job Seekers Difficulties on foreign land Job seekers and first time immigrants should be informed in advance about the difficulties faced by them upon arrival to Gulf country They should be well informed about their duties and responsibilities as well as of the employer Awareness of culture and tradition of their new home country will help to tackle culture shock upon arrival They should be provided with all the key contacts of Indian embassy and should be encouraged to register themselves at the nearest Indian mission after their arrival

Domestic Helpers Housemaid Issues Research and analysis should be done to know the reason why housemaids run away within short span of taking up the job Under aged women should be protected from travelling as domestic helpers Training of basic Arabic language, culture, custom, traditions etc. of the destination country should be provided

Women are employed in Gulf countries in huge number as housemaids, nurses, para medics, beauticians, dress designers, tailors etc. The data base of women employees should be developed along with the details of their nearest relative in host country as well as in India

Workers in GCC Child Education

Financial Schemes

Death Compensation

Workers in GCC Child Education In 2004 AICTE reserved one third of the NRI seats for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC). It clearly specified that these children should be treated on par with locals and they should not be charged any NRI fee. We request the Telangana government to ensure strict implementation of this quota in all the engineering colleges and also request the state government to create similar quota for our children. It should be ensured that our children get hassle free admission in schools and colleges in Telangana state.

Workers in GCC Financial Schemes For the Telangana NRIs in Gulf countries following schemes should be include in the proposed NRI policy:      

Pension Housing Insurance Personal and housing loans Scholarship Compensation on death

Workers in GCC Head of the family away from home With head of the family living away from home, family members face a lot of difficulties in their day to day life. Government should take appropriate steps to ease their lives. Security and safety is a major concern for them. It should be looked after by local There are many families in Gulf who send their children to study in their homeland and they face problems to have good hostel facilities for them. There should be good and affordable hostels for boys and girls from Gulf countries coming here to study.

Workers in GCC Air India direct flights to Hyderabad Hyderabad has become an important landmark in the world map but it is very unfortunate that our national carrier Air India does not have direct flight connectivity between Hyderabad and major cities of Gulf countries. Almost all the international airlines in Gulf countries have their direct flight connectivity to Hyderabad. Because of this reason, many passengers prefer other airlines over Air India. Being our national carrier, Air India should be the first priority of Indians. But, due to lack of direct connectivity we are compelled to avoid it. Saudi Arabia hosts the largest number of Indians and large number of Non Resident Telanganaites resides here, but Air India does not operates direct flight between Riyadh and Hyderabad We request the NRI Minister of Telanagana to make effective representation with the aviation ministry and the concerned officials of Air India to link Hyderabad and all major destinations if Gulf countries by direct flight connectivity.
