WHERE DO OUR GRADUATES GO?

College planning at Saint Edward’s School is a comprehensive, student-focused program We help students find colleges that truly match their academic, extracurricular, geographic and financial needs, regardless of name recognition.

FOREVER QUESTIONING

The confidence to respectfully question fosters curiosity, critical thinking and deeper understanding. Students participate in the Harkness Method of instruction, which empowers them to actively engage with material, clarify doubts and explore new perspectives. This practice encourages a growth mindset and builds confidence, ultimately enhancing academic success and lifelong learning.

FOREVER BONDING

Adult mentors build trust, boost confidence and help students navigate challenges. Our three mental health professionals are a constant, positive presence, hosting fun and engaging events, teaching classes and providing welcoming spaces to relax and chat. They partner with the faculty to provide encouragement and a sense of belonging, fostering personal growth and creating a strong foundation for future success.

FOREVER INVESTIGATING

Our Pirates don’t stop at the first easy answer. When students have the space to ask the big questions, they develop research skills, gain deeper insights and foster intellectual curiosity across all subjects. This process encourages autonomy, builds confidence and enhances their ability to synthesize information, preparing them for academic challenges and lifelong learning.

FOREVER EXPLORING

Travel at every age broadens horizons, exposing students to diverse cultures, perspectives and experiences. LS students begin with day field trips that grow with them. MS Pirates experience team-building and challenge trips, along with educational adventures. US students visit colleges, attend team-building trips and have the option for international travel. Students at every stage practice independence, adaptability and global awareness as they prepare for an interconnected world.

FOREVER PLAYING

Play is crucial for child development as it fosters creativity, problem-solving and social skills. Our smallest Pirates participate in recess and PE daily because we know play supports emotional regulation, cognitive growth and physical coordination. Through play, children learn to navigate their environment, interact with others and build resilience, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being.

FOREVER LAUNCHING

Engineering and technology classes marry math and design principles that provide students with critical problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience. These classes prepare students for diverse careers, empowering them to tackle real-world challenges. These courses build a strong foundation in math, science and design thinking, all of which are essential for technological advancement.

FOREVER COMPETING

Student athletics promote physical health, teamwork, discipline and perseverance. Over 70% of middle and upper school students play at least one sport and the School offers three seasons with over 20 athletic options. Participation enhances time management, builds confidence and teaches resilience through competition. Beyond fitness, sports cultivate leadership, communication and camaraderie.

FOREVER PERFORMING

Lower School students

begin performing as early as age three, and middle and upper school students can participate in two plays a year. Our thespians consistently achieve the highest awards in statewide theatre competitions, and they can learn set design, lighting and technical direction. These performances foster public speaking skills, resilience and appreciation for diverse artistic forms, while providing a platform for personal growth and connection with audiences.

FOREVER GUIDING

Our registered nurse, campus chaplain and three mental health professionals are a constant presence on campus. They teach and embody essential life skills, promote emotional intelligence and model responsible behavior. This reliable, personal guidance helps shape a child’s character, resilience and understanding of the world, contributing to their overall success and well-being.

FOREVER CREATING

Creating allows students to express individuality, boost creativity and develop problem-solving skills. It encourages critical thinking, enhances emotional intelligence and fosters a sense of accomplishment. Art instruction begins in the Lower School and expands to include opportunities to participate in local exhibits and competitions. Saint Edward’s offers numerous classes in AP art, lighting and set design and music production. Many of our creators continue their artistic passions in college.

FOREVER COLLABORATING

Student collaboration fosters teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. Working together encourages diverse perspectives, enhances creativity and strengthens interpersonal relationships. It promotes accountability, builds empathy and helps students learn from each other’s strengths, preparing them for future professional environments where cooperation and collective effort are essential to success.

FOREVER LEADING

Saint Edward’s School students are encouraged to define their leadership roles based on their passions. They can start a club, participate in elected office, manage an athletic team or mentor younger students. We know that student leadership builds confidence, responsibility and decisionmaking skills at every age and stage. By leading peers, students gain valuable experience, develop resilience and enhance their ability to motivate and inspire others, preparing them for future challenges in academics and beyond.

Being a student at Saint Edward’s School since fifth grade, this school is one of the best communities I have experienced. Some may think attending a small school is a negative thing; I firmly believe the opposite. The small school size enables everyone to know everyone; all the teachers are personable and know you beyond the classroom. We can create relationships with students, facilities, and staff that aren’t possible at a larger school. We are a small, tight-knit community where we all come together to support one another, whether it's on the sports field, in the theater, or in the classroom.

FOREVER A PIRATE

Saint Edward’s School is committed to making an excellent educational experience accessible to as many families in our community as possible.

AFFORDING SES

The School recognizes that the cost of an independent school education is a major financial commitment and can represent a challenge to some families. For that reason, we offer a range of tuition rates through our Variable Tuition Program
