A memory of helping run a campaign for Student President underdog (Mike Montanya) and pulling off a surprise victory. Participating in Intramurals as Independents and defeating fraternities - numerous times and numerous sports

Named Outstanding Marshal and later to the Ring of Honor in Philadelphia; St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Grand Marshal of Springfield’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade; 9 trips to Ireland for pleasure to visit relatives & golf.

Share some highlights from the past fifty years (travel/bucket list items special events, etc.: Nancy and I have traveled through Europe and a highlight was our WWII tour of Normandy, Germany, and the Netherlands. We also just completed a tour of the United Kingdom. Italy was awesome and fun to visit. The best part of the last 50 years, other than my marriage to Nancy and our 2 children & 3 grandchildren, is my ordination as a Deacon for the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This has been a tremendous blessing to me and to my family

In addition to living in Spain and the Middle East, I traveled to France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, China, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and Canada on official business. I also visited Italy, Greece, Turkey, Lichtenstein, and Austria. Not surprisingly, I do not have plans to travel in retirement
