Society of St. Vincent de Paul

THE NEXT SVDP MEETING IS TUESDAY, MAY 2ND at 7:00 PM in the Saint John Paul II Room. New members are always welcome!

Our Daughters of Mary are co-hosting a Spring Clothing Drive on Sunday, May 7th (see page 14 of this bulletin). Please consider doing some “spring cleaning” to support their efforts.

We invite you to explore the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Mary’s Church. There are no special qualifications to join, other than the desire to join with others in helping Neighbors in need. As a group, we meet monthly. Come decide for yourself if God is calling you to this special Ministry.

In this Sunday’s Gospel, as we hear the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, we also come to know that our daily reaching out to our neighbor is our daily walk with the risen Christ; we recognize him in others. This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul brought the love and care of Jesus to the poor by assisting families, with food, utility and rent bills, etc. Thank You!
