Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time “Amen I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”

Matt 10:37-42 “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever...,whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. ....whoever gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink ... he will surely not lose his reward.” For a spouse to sacrifice himself for the other and to give without expecting a reward, and gives of himself with unconditional love to their spouse, he/she will receive their reward. Let us find out how to give and love unconditionally for our spouse by signing up for a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Experience. The dates are:

August 11-13, 2023 in Storrs, CT

August 25-27, 2023 in Vermont

September 22-24, 2023 in Huntington, NY

October 20-22, 2023 in Vermont

Every Gift Counts!

A gift of $50 may help pay the gas for a Meals-On-Wheels van to deliver food for a day.

A gift of $75 from an emergency fund may help pay the electric bill for a family in need.

A gift of $100 may help a new mom in Catholic Charities Regina Maternity Community Case Management Program.

Because of you, every year we are able to serve more than 600,000 people in our Long Island Community. Catholic Charities and parish outreaches can maintain and grow their services to families struggling to meet the demands of higher costs for food, housing and utilities. Faith formation programs for our seminarians and lay leaders thrive so that they can fulfill their calling to lead the faithful of our community. Faith is inspired and kept alive for our youth so that they come to understand that their faith is a gift that should be passed on from generation to generation.

Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Prayer in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

I adore You, Bread from Heaven. I adore You, Bread of Angels. I adore You, My Jesus, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. (Pause for silent adoration.)

I adore You, Jesus, my true life because You died for love of me. I adore You, Jesus, Divine Light because You show me the way to heaven. I adore You, Jesus, Divine Lamb, Who takes away the sin of the world. (Pause for silent adoration.)

My God and Savior Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, I firmly believe that You are really and bodily present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. From the very depths of my heart, I adore You. (Pause for silent adoration.)
