Saint Mary’s High School students traveled to Rockville Centre for a special Mass that brought schools together from across the Diocese.

OnMonday, May 2, 2023, ten St. Mary’s students represented our school community at the Mass and Veneration of the Relic of Blessed Michael McGivney. Bl. Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, is a central figure in the growth of Catholicism in America, and is on his way to sainthood. The day began with a presentation about his life in the Msgr. Kelly Center at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre. Students then venerated the relic in the Cathedral and then attended the celebration of Mass. Proudly, one of our students, Brooke Flannelly ’24, read the prayer of the faithful during the Cathedral Mass. What a beautiful way to learn more about their Catholic faith and participate in the celebration of the Most Holy Eucharist with their peers.
