The Schools of Saint Mary Historic Celebration as St. Mary’s Elementary School Earns NJHS Recognition and Inducts 54 Students
OnThursday, April 27, 2023, Saint Mary’s Elementary School proudly hosted its inaugural National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony. The process leading to this historic and momentous day launched with Principal Theresa Kemp and the administration’s full support. With Assistant Principal Michelle Tripi serving as the adviser and the appointed faculty council members working in unison, a chapter was successfully earned, recognizing the School’s commitment to elevating further its values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character bolstering the Catholic faith formation and rigorous curriculum, that St. Mary’s is known for in the educational arena. Students were selected and invited to join the prestigious society based on academic achievement and merit. In a formal ceremony held in the Church of Saint Mary, parents, faculty, and administration gathered for the occasion and witnessed the oath of administration for 54 students in this nationally recognized program. Mrs. Michelle Tripi remarked, “Our chapter is proud to induct our inaugural members, and today’s ceremony indicates the continuing emphasis on excellence that we represent for our school and community.”
After the formal induction of students, the congregation in attendance responded with great joy: “Having witnessed your induction into the St. Mary’s Elementary School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society and being aware of the expectations and aspirations of that organization, we encourage you - our sons and daughters, our students and our friends - to carry out the highest ideals of the Society to St. Mary’s Elementary School, and most of all, to live the Gospel; to go forth and serve others in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.”
Congratulations to the students, their families, and all who helped make this day possible. We are so proud of your continued distinguished academic, faith, and service achievements!
