HERMES APOLLO ENGINEERING (HAE) In 2007 (HAE) started as an off the shelf supplier of engineering consumables & support components, moving to the outsourced manufacturing of machined components. Its continued growth in customer base & expertise saw it expand to fabrication & welding which then became the main business focus.

Further Expansion and Component specialization Around 2011 Transnet Engineering RSE business provided HAE with an opportunity to manufacture MKV Sub-Frames for the heavy haulage wagons. After an arduous process of testing and audits, HAE was approved as one of only two external manufacturers of MKV Sub-Frames outside TE, this was concomitantly followed by the upgrading of our workshop to improve the operational efficiencies and the quality of manufactured products.

Building Partnerships
Innovation
From the understanding that great success is attributable to unity of purpose and the mutual support of all involved, HAE considered itself an extension of TE’s operations, leading to a partnership of a shared vision, objectives and ultimately success in operational requirements.
For a growing business, the constraints to growth are plentiful, not least financial constraints to acquire the latest equipment and tooling. The upside is that it allowed HAE to be agile and innovative enough to more with less.
It is worth mentioning the massive support received from TE in improving the quality of products and setting up our workshop to standards acceptable to TE’s critical suppliers
A case in point is the manufacturing in-house of hydraulic bending presses in lieu of Press brakes
