Hello! I am Sakshi and am currently a 4th year student at IE University in Spain. Over the course of my experiences, I have had the opportunity to travel and interact with people from around the world which has permitted me to broaden my horizons and enabled me to understand the world population at a greater depth. My interactions have allowed me to further respect not only the cultures of the world but the stories of individuals. As I enter the last phase of my undergraduate education, I am even more inspired by the idea of storytelling and am grateful for the field of architecture for giving me the opportunity to express myself. From the creation of fine spaces, photographs and illustrations, I believe a piece of table or a column is as strong and relevant and strong as a new story waiting to be told. My values align greatly with Architectural Digest and to be able to collaborate with such an honorable team would be a dream come true. As design students we seal the project after the final review however, I believe a magazine is the afterlife of a project to be then viewed by a wider audience. This will allow me to not only conceptualize an idea but further implement the content in a way that will allow me to not only express myself but also reflect the many stories of the world. I truly believe my experiences have allowed me to reflect the ideas of creating and conceptualizing content. Staying away from home all while balancing family and friends while being, holding various leadership positions, and committing to receive the best education all have allowed me to build character and incorporate the values of adaptability, creativity and accountability. It is with great humility I present my application. I believe my academic background and training has allowed me to prepare well for this position and I hope with the right guidance from the members at Architectural Digest. I will be able to begin my experience KET

COMMUNITY CLOSURE This is a gated community represeting clustered housing in the heart of Madrid. The concept of clustered housing is taken from the “chawl system in India and chnaged it catering to the living conditions in Madrid. The ground floor has extedned plinths which provide socio-economic conditions during the day and changes into a food park in the evening.
The overhead water tanks break into the monotonous skyline of the city. Bird feeders provide ecology into the space and making it over lively. Provides function by resting on supports of the bacony. The idea is to bring a sense of belonging into the busy lives.
