Khenpo Kunten and the Four Senior Lamas Update of Visiting Program of Lo Manthang
Lo Manthang Monastery Dear Dharma Brothers and Sisters,
GREAT NEWS ! In our 1st Program of 2013, Lo Manthang Monastery comes with not one but FOUR very Senior lamas to conduct the rituals. A FIRST time in our Centre! Among them together with Khenpola, they have VAST experience in all rituals, especially Vajrakilaya Gutor which they perform for many, many years. During THIS TRIP they come specially to CONDUCT THE VAJRAKILAYA GUTOR. This Gutor will be most effective if it is done on the 29th day of the12th lunar month And being done by 4 very senior lamas who specialize in the Gutor. Indeed the ritual will be superlative and gives great benefit and blessings to our Centre and all who participate in one form or another. . Senior Lama Gendun will be in ACTION on Chinese New Year Eve at 5.30pm.. to do the most important Torma Throwing with total effectiveness for 1 year.

Shernying Dudhog PUJA
(18 -20 Jan)

Saturday 4 – 8pm: Dough rubbing and put a cut piece of old cloth in the box before the PUJA
Sunday: 3 – 6pm
- Puja starts at 3pm with Dough rubbing and put a cut piece of old cloth in box for throwing - 3.30pm Tea break: offer tea and ONE other food item. Sponsor or volunteer welcome. - 4.30pm: Chanting Heart Sutra 7 times together with the senior lamas, getting direct blessing and auspiciousness. - 6.00pm. End of Puja and receive blessing from all the lamas.
Singanada Puja (21 Jan) Singanada Puja
8am – 12noon: Ritual by Khenpo & senior Lamas
12 noon – 1pm: Vegetarian lunch and signing of indemnity form
After 1pm:
Bus transport to jetty
Singanada boat: Khenpo Kunten and 4 senior lamas and registrants to offer tormas and naga palace to Naga king at sea.
Naga Puja (21 Jan) Naga Puja 9am – 12noon : Ritual by Resident Khenpo and other transit monks 12 noon – 1pm: Vegetarian lunch and signing of indemnity form After 1pm: Bus transport to jetty Naga Puja boats: Transit monks and Naga participants to offer to seaNagas
Wrathful Padmasambhava Puja (25-27 Jan) Update information
During Padmasambhava Puja, there will be Tsok Offering
Long-life nectar pills will be distributed during Puja
Tea session half hour after Puja starts: Any Tea offering by sponsors must limit to a cup of tea and one other item if requested.
Akshobhya Puja and Changchog (1-3 FEB)

All are encourage to attend especially those who have big obstacles. This special event is conducted by 4 senior lamas specialize in gutor together with Khenpo Kunten. Purify obstacles for 1 year.

Traditional Dough Rubbing procedure
UPDATE:
1. Take a piece of dough before ritual
2. Pass the dough from right hand to left hand from back to front three round.
3. Rub dough on areas of your body that is sick or painful
4. Then pass dough from left hand to the right hand from behind to front 3 times
3. Then place dough on right palm and press it with 4 fingers and the thumb with dough protruding from the lower end of the palm
6. Discard rubbed dough in a container provided

We encourage all whenever you have time to join any of the ritual and receive the shower of blessing from the 6 senior lamas .
Do come on eve of Chinese New Year and participate in the torma throwing by Senior Lama Gendun at 5.30pm.
