TEN SOOM CEREMONY BEFORE TEACHINGS, EMPOWERMENT AND RITUALS
Traditionally, before a teaching or empowerment all the disciples will recite verses of offerings to the Teacher. In this particular instance the one who is offering the Ten Soom, the donor here, is leading and representing all of us who are going to take the teaching to offer the universe to the Teacher to request for the teaching or empowerment. There are many layers of meanings for this Ceremony in different occasions (like when visiting the guru, welcoming the teacher; thanksgiving and etc.) Basically one visualizes with recitations and offers the best things in the universe to the teacher. Just like how Samantabhadra Bodhisattva did in a similar manner in the 'Aspiration prayer of Samantabhadra' where He made offerings to the Buddha.
密乘教法里，在一名弟子接受上师灌顶或佛法开示之前，弟子会念诵供养文。献供身语意 曼达的弟子就代表了众信众把这宇宙间最美好殊胜的东西供养尊贵的上师，由此我们可以 向上师要求殊胜的灌顶或开示。这个仪式本身在不同场合就有几个层次的意义（比如，拜 访上师时、迎接上师，感恩上师指导等）简单来说，金刚乘弟子会边念诵边作观想，把宇 宙间最美好殊胜的东西供养给上师。这就有如普贤菩萨对十方三世一切诸佛，悉皆供养。 这可谓功德无量，像普贤菩萨具足一切无量行愿般，受菩萨护佑，凡行必成。 Please Register with Office for Ten Soom Offering. 若想参加献供身语意曼达仪式，请在办事处登记。
