A PLACE OF WORSHIP SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND CHARACTER BUILDING IS AN ONGOING PROCESS THAT IS ENCOURAGED THROUGH PROGRAMS, MEETINGS AND SERVICES OFFERED AT THE CORPS COMMUNITY CENTER IN RENO. WITH TRADITIONAL SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICES, MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES, COMPELLING YOUTH PROGRAMS, AND CHRISTIAN-BASED SUPPORT GROUPS—THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

We offer programs for young people ranging from Sunday School to teen groups to summer camp. We also run a Vacation Bible and Music School. Our after school program focuses on homework, music and recreation. Each youth program is developed to educate and instill young people with self respect, leadership skills and good character. We especially love sharing music with our youth. We offer lessons in guitar and brass band instruments for kids who would not otherwise have these opportunities. We also have junior and adult singing groups.

EMERGENCY DISASTER SERVICES The Salvation Army stands ready to respond in the event of an emergency and is often called upon by local officials to provide supplies and counseling to disaster workers and survivors during a time of disaster. Coats and gloves have been given to families during snowstorms as well. With your help, we are prepared to provide shelter and food to thousands throughout the county in the event of a large-scale disaster.
