SMALL TOWN
ON 40 THOUSAND INHABITANTS Task : Design a small town for 40 thousand inhabitants Location : Oleksiivka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is an oblast of central Ukraine, the most important industrial region of the country. Its administrative center is Dnipropetrovsk.
Environment: The Oblast is situated in the steppe region. Forests in the oblast occupy about 3,9% of the oblast’s total territory. The average temperature in the winter balances from -5 to -7°C and in the summer from 22 to 23°C. The average annual rainfall is 400– 490 mm
The purpose of the project was to master the method of designing a small town within a larger settlement taking account of social and education requirements. We designed the small town with an estimated number of ten to fifty thousand inhabitants the task was as follows: • To provide architectural and urban development that satisfy the social demands of the human condition in their entirety (work, life, recreation) •Acquire skills solving complex architectural design and planning tasks. The city area was divided into three distinct functional areas (zones), residential, industrial (including communal areas and storage, commercial transport links), landscape and recreation. Planning included the organisation of rational accommodation for each functional area and provides: •The necessary health requirements in the city; •Organization of convenient transport and pedestrian links between places of employment, settlement and recreation. •the creation of a rational economic system and roads. •Sustainable development of structural elements.

OFFICE CENTRE
Task : Office Centre is projected for 50 offices Location : prospekt Pobedy, 98/2, Kiyev, Ukraine The main aim of project was to plan and design a comprehensive building which meet all the necessities and the standards of the tenants with minimum budget whilst using standard market materials. The Building is based on 10 floors, using a round plan design. This allows for easy traffic flow as well as maximising the use of natural light by using full glass external walls. In doing this is permits the tenants to have full advantage of the views as well as making the building more energy efficient.
HOTEL APARTMENT Task : Hotel Apartment in Yalta Location : ulitsa Stroiteley, 3, Yalta Avtonomnaya Respublika Krym, Ukraine Yalta, is a resort city in Crimea, southern Ukraine, on the north coast of the Black Sea. The city is located on the site of an ancient Greek colony, said to have been founded by Greek sailors who were looking for a safe shore on which to land. As Yalta lies to the south of the Crimean Mountains and within an amphitheatre of hills, the climate is very mild.(wiki) The objective of the “Hotel Apartment was to design a full facility, short term contemporary holiday accommodation. The hotel was to be built on a site that was 30m above the sea level, so the main focus of the design was how to fully exploit the views of the Black Sea and of the City. The design consisted of 3 blocks housing 272 apartments which are distributed along 11 floors. The design consisted of 232 apartments with an area of 88m2 and 40 apartments with the area of 131m2, with each floor giving different possibilities of balcony, garden or terrace.
