Dr. Saleem Mokbel Dahabreh is currently an associate professor at the Department of Architectural Engineering/ University of Jordan. With an M. Arch from the KU-Leuven (1996) focusing on architecture and identity and an M.S. from the University of Jordan (1998) focusing on the relationship between architecture and the behavioral sciences, Dr. Dahabreh worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Architecture at the University of Jordan and as a full time lecturer at the Department of Architecture at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He has participated in many architectural competitions developing and elaborating conceptual issues and rendering architectural presentations. During his stay at Georgia Institute of Technology between 2001 and 2006, where he got his PhD, he was an active member of Courtsweb, a data base for Federal Courthouses funded by the GSA, where he was responsible for in classification, analysis and generation of courtroom floor typologies. A spatial physical dimension where by • creating a heterogeneous or hybrid structure that consists of a minimal hard structure of columns and beams that acts as a scaffolding that allows the skyscraper to stand, and a tensegric structure that uses isolated components in-compression inside a net of continuous tension, in such a way that the compressed bars or struts do not touch while the pre-stressed tensioned cables or tendons delineate the system spatially. Accordingly, the geometry of form oscillates between two extremes: an ideal geometry of order and proportions, and uncertain mathematics under.stood as probability and randomness Henceforth, the line between the different spaces does not move in a specific direction but is a continuous oscillating movement, an endless back and forth between two or more

07 spaces. It creates tension, vibration, and intensity. The composition contains a clear structure, but it is a unique and new, a self-forming structure, which is achieved by undoing the structure of fixed codes and static grids of conventional configurations……… By mixing up different explicitly… a new form comes into being…. Thus, what we conceive is not only this or that style. What we conceive is basically the vibration—the clash in-between .things, the process of becoming other

The Emergent informality of the tree of life is meant to entitle and empower the neglected urban poor by means of using progressive architecture as a vehicle for social change. Through the use of 3D cellular Automata as a generative system, the project contemplates spaces for housing, health services, religious ceremonies or cults, public education, forums, and workshops for cultural activities, allowing them live in a space where their work, education, and health requirements are met. To create our intervention, we have resolved to contemporary generative design approaches; the 3D Ant Cellular Automata-vertical highway as an extension to Langton’s ant, where a pattern of initial cell/s is replicated along a path called a high way given certain rules and restrictions to create a spatial form. The replication of the cell, a container in our case, creates what C. M. Herr calls a ‘vertical village’: a high-rise structure that provides a rigid frame structure with completely flexible internal spaces and external additions. The design hinge
