September 2021 - issue #19 featuring 9 photographers. “Visiting Mom” a photographic series of my mom’s relocation to a new life at the Veterans Center at Homelake, Colorado. My mom was in her 80's and unable to live at home alone. She moved from Long Island to the VA Center at Homelake in Colorado. Underneath is another story about the American car travel since so much of our time was involved being in a car. The vehicle became a player in the story. The car door and car became windows as an entrance or framing for as visual narratives. In the USA so many people drive and cars become an extension of us. We left New York, flying to Santa Fe, New Mexico and then onto Monte Vista, Colorado. Influencers have been Stephen Shore and Ed Ruscha.
