The director of the program, Laurie Dickstein-Fischer, PhD was an enormous part of my time in the program. She is dedicated to the students and goes the extra mile to help every student. The campus is beautiful, full of diversity, wonderful people, amazing scholars, and provides an exceptional community for its students. The friendships I formed, with my classmates and with my faculty, are ones I hold dear.

Their role is to advocate, listen, counsel, inform, assess and empower.School adjustment counselors have specialized knowledge and evidence based training to serve pre-K-12 students with severe psychopathology such as depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorders, among others, all of which impact a student’s ability to engage successfully in a learning environment.
