God’s Perfect Peace

On days when I feel shackled, Let me not forget I’m free… That You took my sins and nailed them To the cross at Calvary. My old ways and bad habits Were washed clean the day You died. Forgive me when I cling to them, For that’s the sin of pride.

And when I try to run my life

Instead of trusting You, Again, forgive me, Jesus, For that’s not the thing to do. You said Your yoke is easy And that Your burden’s light, So, there’s no valid reason Why I should get uptight.

So, help me, Lord, to rest in You; May others always see Your abiding, perfect peace Pouring out of me.
