Letter from the Publisher Dear Reader, First of all God wants you to know that He is real, He is waiting for you with open arms to bring you into his kingdom, home. God revealed in my heart His plan. By spending time in prayer, the Lord led me to start this Christian business guide with free distribution. KBG is the first bilingual Christian business guide of South Florida. I am very excited to introduce this new publication dedicated to the Kingdom of God.
God still does miracles and that is why the primary reason for this publication is to use testimonials and stories of lives transformed by God as tools of salvation. Moreover, the desire to provide a wonderful source of information to the body of Christ by sharing Christians who are the service providers in our community, it is my belief that when we do business with other followers of Christ, it is a blessing that is passed on to others. In this first edition we have two testimonies that will surely touch your hearts. The first is that of pastor Irving Sanchez, and second of personal and family restoration is of pastor also known as Gaby more. Kingdom Business Guide will be published quarterly. is dream of being a sailor was cut short because of an accident that completely changed his life. Now, Irwing Sanchez, is dedicated to testify to the world about the ordeal that left his face disfigured, his body burned over 80% and his hands withered.
u sueño de ser marino se vio truncado a causa de un accidente que cambió completamente su vida. Ahora Irwin Sánchez está dedicado a dar testimonio por el mundo sobre la dura experiencia que dejó su rostro desfigurado, quemaduras en el 80% de su cuerpo y sus manos atrofiadas.
“I could not be a sailor, but I became a soldier of the Lord,” says Sanchez, a native of Venezuela, speaking on the “test of fire” that made him see life differently. He’s no longer bothered by people’s morbid eyes nor people’s rejection as it did when the accident first happened in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where he was born.
“No pude ser marino, pero me convertí en un soldado del Señor”, dice Sánchez, originario de Venezuela, al hablar sobre la “prueba de fuego” que lo hizo ver la vida de otra manera. Ya no se molesta que la gente lo mire con curiosidad morbosa o lo rechace como cuando recién sufrió el accidente en una calle de Maracaibo, Venezuela, donde nació.
The tragedy He was 18 when he suffered burns, mostly third degree, trying to rescue his brother who was trapped inside the vehicle they were both in, which was hit by a drunk driver. They were on their way home after saying goodbye to his grandmother because the next day he was going to join the Navy, without a clue that the tragedy was waiting just around the corner.
La tragedia
The day of the tragedy, his brother drove calmly when suddenly his car was hit in the rear by another vehicle which was driven at high speed by a man that was completely drunk. Because of the strong impact, the Sanchez brothers’ car flipped several times, finally bursting into flames. Irwing got out of the car unharmed, but knowing that his brother was in, he tried to get his brother out at all cost. “Not even three men were able to stop me,” he says. Since he was not able open the driver’s side door, he tried to go in through the other side, putting half of his body through the flames that formed inside of the car. When his uncle saw that he was in danger of dying burnt, his uncle pulled him from his feet and put him in safety taking advantage that the young man had fainted. “When I entered the hospital, my mother was called and received two news: one that my brother had died and another that I only had two hours to live, and that if I survived, I would be blind.”
Tenía 18 años cuando sufrió quemaduras, en su mayoría de tercer grado, tratando de rescatar a su hermano que había quedado atrapado dentro del vehículo en que ambos estaban y que fue colisionado por otro carro manejado por una persona en estado de ebriedad. Regresaba a su casa después de despedirse de su abuela porque al día siguiente iba a ingresar a la Marina de Guerra, sin presentir que la tragedia lo esperaba a la vuelta de la esquina. “Crecí siendo un joven feliz e inquieto, desde muy pequeño mis padres me fueron inculcando lo bonito que es servir. Ya que en la familia había marinos, siempre me decían que cuando creciera también lo sería”. El día de la tragedia, su hermano conducía tranquilamente cuando de repente su auto fue golpeado en la parte trasera por otro vehículo que era conducido a gran velocidad por un sujeto completamente ebrio. Del fuerte impacto, el carro de los hermanos Sánchez dio varias vueltas, finalmente estallando en llamas. Irwin logró salir ileso del carro, pero sabiendo que su hermano quedaba adentro, trató de sacarlo a como diera lugar. “Ni tres hombre pudieron detenerme”, dice. Como no pudo abrir la puerta del conductor, metió la mitad de su cuerpo por el otro lado para halarlo, enfrentandose a las llamas que se formaron en el interior del auto. Al ver que corría peligro de morir quemado, un tío suyo lo tomó de los pies y lo puso a salvo aprovechando que el muchacho se había desmayado. “Cuando me ingresaron al hospital, a mi madre la llamaron para darle dos noticias: una que mi hermano había muerto y otra que a mí solamente me quedaban dos horas de vida, y que si lograba, vivir quedaría ciego”.

But God had other plans for Irwing. “He let me live to show everyone that there is a living God and we should not drown in small glasses of water,” he said. He remained in the hospital three years where they did 120 grafts and performed 80 surgeries. He had so many scabs in his body they would hold him hair from his hair to soak him in salt and baking soda baths that were part of the treatment.
Pero Dios tenía otros planes para Irwin. “Me dejó vivir para enseñarles a todos que hay un Dios que vive y que no debemos ahogarnos en pequeños vasos de agua”, dijo. Tres años permaneció en el hospital, donde le hicieron 120 injertos y le practicaron 80 cirugías. Había quedado con tantas llagas en la piel tan que debían sostenerlo del cabello para sumergirlo en los baños de sal y bicarbonato que hacían parte del tratamiento.
“I grew up as a happy young man, restless, very young my parents were instilling me how nice it is to serve. Since there were marines in the family, I always said that when I grew up, I’d become one”.

Within all that suffering, he was lucky to meet the woman who later on became his wife. She was a patient who had come to the hospital for a gallbladder problem, so Irwing says she “came out without her gallbladder but well married”. “People said I was crazy to have noticed a man whose face was completely healed, but she ignored it. I knew that there are other people who have burns inside”. After leaving the hospital, Irwing had to face another tough test: rejection from society for his physical appearance. If he sat on a bus next to someone else, he/she quickly moved to another seat, he said.
Dentro de todo aquel sufrimiento tuvo la suerte de conocer a la mujer que se convirtió en su esposa. Era una paciente que había llegado al hospital por un problema en la vesícula, por eso Irwin dice que ella “salió sin su vesícula pero bien casada”. La gente decía que estaba loca por haberse fijado en un hombre que tenía el rostro completamente cicatrizado, pero ella no hizo caso. “Sabía que hay otras personas que tienen las quemaduras por dentro”. Al salir del hospital, Irwin tuvo que enfrentar otra dura prueba: el rechazo de la sociedad por su aspecto físico. Si en un bus se sentaba al lado de otra persona, esta se movía rápidamente para otro asiento, comentó.
However, this man is not easily outdone. He wrote his first book of personal development “when nobody thought I could do it”. When he moved to the United States, he’s done everything: cleaned floors, worked as a waiter and washed cars proving himself, and others, he could move forward. Now he’s pastor. The experiences and successes of his life is summed up in his latest book “A test of fire” which relates to the tragic episode in which he risked his life for his brother, not knowing he was already dead.

I thought that when my story came to light my ministry would end, not knowing that it’d be the day it’d begin. My reputation was everything to me. I did everything I needed to build a good reputation and to protect it, which means that there were some parts of my life that I could not let anyone see and fight some battles alone without much success. I come from a family of four children in which I am the youngest and the only man. My younger sister is seven years my senior, so I was very spoiled and I always got what I wanted. When they were teenagers their friends

Hice todo lo que necesitaba para construir una buena reputación y para protegerla, lo que significa que había algunas partes de mi vida que no podía dejar ver y pelear algunas batallas sólo sin obtener ningún tipo de éxito.
asked me if I ever saw my sisters naked and stuff, which caught my attention and I started doing it with my female friends. When I was five years old I had my first sexual experience with a female neighbor just out of curiosity, but I liked what I felt even though I knew what I was doing was wrong because when we did, we would hide. At the young age of eleven, a friend who was a little pornographic older than me showed me a magazine. I was terrified, disgusted but fascinated at the same time. As I was growing, I wanted to see something a little stronger every time, until I saw a pornographic film. My sisters began to teach me how to treat women and how to lure them, so I became an expert in this area. It was like winning a trophy for doing something right. When I least expected, I was pastor of a congregation, was married and had a son. Secretly watched pornography because it was a way to relieve a certain pain and a lot of stress. I hated the secret, I cried out to God to take it off and that I could be an integral pastor and husband, but was never able to change. I would say I would never do it again but after some time, I’d end up falling again. It grew to the point that I wanted to live and experience what I was seeing and that took me to places I never imagined I’d be. So one day I fell into adultery with one of the women in my own congregation. It had not even been a month when everything came to light, and I lost everything. My family, ministry, friends etc. The guilt and shame I had put me in a hole where the only voices I could hear were the voices of darkness telling me to take my life because I was useless.
Vengo de una familia de cuatro hijos donde yo soy el más pequeño y el único hombre. Mi hermana más pequeña me lleva siete años, así que era muy consentido y siempre me daban lo que quería. Cuando ellas eran adolescentes sus amigos me preguntaban que si yo veía a mis hermanas desnudas y cosas así, cosa que llamo mi atención y empecé a hacerlo con mis amiguitas. Cuando tenia cinco años tuve mi primera experiencia sexual con una vecinita solo por curiosidad pero me gustó mucho lo que sentí aunque sabía que estaba haciendo mal por que nos escondíamos cuando lo hacíamos. A los once años, un amigo un poco mas grande que yo me mostró una revista pornográfica. E s t a b a aterrorizado, asqueado pero a la misma vez fascinado. Fui creciendo y cada vez quería ver algo un poco más fuerte hasta que vi una película pornográfica. Mis hermanas e mpe z ar on a enseñarme cómo tratar a las mujeres y cómo poder conquistarlas, así que me volví un experto en esta área. Era como ganar un trofeo por hacer algo bien. Cuando menos pensé era pastor de una congregación, estaba casado y con un hijo. En secreto veía pornografía porque era una manera de aliviar cierto dolor y un gran estrés. Odiaba ese secreto, clamaba a Dios que me lo quitara y que pudiera ser un pastor y esposo integro, pero nunca obtuve un cambio. Decía que nunca más lo iba volver a hacer pero al cabo de un tiempo volvía a caer. Esto fue creciendo de tal manera que lo que estaba viendo lo quería exteriorizar y me llevó a lugares que nunca me imagine estar. SUMMER 2013 I KINGDOM BUSINESS GUIDE

Being in that hole, I cried out to God and said: Lord have mercy on me and help me, and He heard my cry. He took me to a place called Canaan where they listened to me, understood me, and gave me the tools to fight for my life and get the restoration I so desired. There, they treated the wounds of my heart that took me to find refuge in pornography and sex, and helped me to find a way to heal the wounds that would not allow me to deal with situations like a man should. I was also able to experience the love and grace of God in a tangible way. I can tell you that although I was a pastor and had over 20 years of being a Christian, I did not have a fulfilled relationship with God. Now, God not only restored me and taught me to have a beautiful relationship with Him, but restored my marriage, gave me back my wife and gave me the opportunity to be an example for my son, and as a seal of the restoration gave us a beautiful girl. This is a miracle because after four miscarriages and an intrauterine pregnancy where my wife almost lost her life, doctors had told us that we could not have more children. It also gave us a family ministry called XXX Free where we train men and women to get out of sex and porn addiction. Had it not been because everything coming to light... I have nothing more to say that if He did it with me, you have every right to think that He can do it with you. Así que un día caí en adulterio con una de las mujeres de mi propia congregación. No duró ni un mes en que todo saliera a la luz y por ende lo perdí todo. Mi familia, ministerio, amigos etc... La culpabilidad y la vergüenza me tenían en un hueco donde solo escuchaba las voces de las tinieblas diciéndome que me quitara la vida por que no servía para nada. Estando en ese hueco clame a Dios y le dije: Señor ten misericordia de mí y ayúdame y Él escuchó mi clamor. Me llevó a un lugar llamado Canaán donde me escucharon, entendieron, y me dieron las herramientas para pelear por mi vida y obtener la restauración que tanto anhelaba. Allí, trataron con las heridas de mi corazón que me llevaron a refugiarme en la pornografía y el sexo, y a buscar sanar las heridas que no me dejaban enfrentar las situaciones como un hombre. También pude experimentar el amor y la gracia de Dios de una manera tangible. Te puedo decir que aunque era pastor y tenia más de 20 años de ser cristiano y no tenía una relación plena con Dios. Ahora, Dios no solo me restauró y me enseñó a tener una hermosa relación con Él, sino que restauró mi matrimonio, me devolvió a mi esposa y me dio la oportunidad de poder ser un ejemplo para mi hijo, y como sello de la restauración nos dio una hermosa niña. Esto es un milagro porque después de 4 pérdidas y un embarazo intrauterino donde mi esposa casi pierde su vida, lo médicos nos habían dicho que no podíamos tener más hijos. También nos dio un ministerio familiar llamado XXX Libre donde capacitamos hombres y mujeres a salir de la adicción al sexo y al porno. Si no hubiera sido porque todo salio a la luz... No me queda más que decirte que si lo hizo conmigo tienes todo el derecho de pensar que lo puede hacer contigo.

Do you feel that something is going on in your heart? Feel that God is calling you to get closer to Him? The Bible tells us that the way to reach God is through his son Jesus Christ. All you need is faith, John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Letting go of the old and not focusing on the past is one of the most difficult things to do. Some people live day to day carrying a heavy load with things like guilt, shame, resentment, just to mention a few. Often this makes us think that it is difficult to relate to Jesus, we believe that past mistakes are too many and we have to be perfect to come to God. But you know at the very moment you accept Jesus into your life and repent of your sins, God does not remember those sins anymore? In Isaiah 43:25, God says He does not remember our sins no more but first we must ask forgiveness and repent (change). Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” God is not interested in your past, He’s more interested in your future. The first step is to humble yourself and recognize that there is sin in your life. The next step is to believe that Jesus is the son of God and died on the cross to save us from sin and to have eternal life. So when you’re ready to confess with your mouth all this and accept Jesus into your life then you can begin a personal relationship with God through the word (Bible), prayer and hooking up with the body of Christ which is the church where will help you grow spiritually. If you’re ready to take this step for the first time, or be reconciled to Jesus, there is no better day than today! I encourage you to take a moment right now where you are and you raise a prayer to the Lord. “I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God. I believe He was sent to die for my sins. He took my place on the cross of Calvary. His blood washes away all my sins. I believe Jesus died, but rose again. May He live forever and I want to be ready to go to heaven when I die. Come into my heart Lord Jesus and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, Amen. “ If you believe it, He has come into your heart! Sientes que algo esta sucediendo en tu corazón? Sientes que Dios te está llamando a acercarte a El? La biblia nos dice que el camino para llegar a Dios es atravez de su hijo Jesuscristo. Todo lo que se necesita es fé, Juan 3:16 dice “Porque tanto amó Dios al mundo, que dió a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo el que cree en él no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna.” Dejar ir lo viejo y no enfocarnos en el pasado es una de las cosa más difíciles de hacer. Algunas personas viven día a día llevando una carga pesada con cosas como culpabildad, verguenza, rencor, solo por mencionar algunas. Muchas veces esto nos hace pensar que es difícil relacionarnos con Jesús, pensamos que los errores del pasado son demasiados y tenemos que ser perfectos para acercarnos a Dios. Pero tu sabes que en el mismo momento que aceptas a Jesús en tu vida y te arrepientes de tus pecados, Dios no recuerda nunca más de esos pecados? En Isaías 43:25, Dios no dice que no recuerda más nuestros pecados pero primero tenemos que pedir perdon y arrepentirnos (cambiando). Prov 28:13 “El que encubre sus pecados no prosperará; Mas el que los confiesa y se aparta alcanzará misericordia.” Dios no esta interesado en tu pasado, está mas interesado en tu futuro. El primer paso es humillarte y reconocer que hay pecado en tu vida. El siguiente paso es creer que Jesús es el hijo de Dios y que murió en la cruz para salvarnos del pecado y poder tener vida eterna. Entonces cuando tu estes listo para confesar con tu boca todo esto y aceptar a Jesús en tu vida entonces puedes empezar una relación personal con Dios a través de la palabra (biblia), oración y conectandote con el cuerpo de Cristo que es la iglesia, donde te ayudaran a crecer espiritualmente. Si tu estas listo para tomar este paso por primera vez, o reconciliarte con Jesus, no hay otro dia mejor que hoy! Te animo a que tomes un momento ahora mismo donde tu estas y eleves una oración al Señor. “Yo soy un pecador en necesidad de un Salvador. Creo que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios vivo. Yo creo que Él lo envió a morir por mis pecados. Él tomó mi lugar en la cruz del Calvario. Su sangre derramada lava todos mis pecados. Creo que Jesús murió, pero resucitó. Que Él vive para siempre y quiero estar listo para ir al cielo cuando muera. Entra en mi corazón Señor Jesús y limpiame de toda maldad, Amén.” Si tu lo crees, El ha entrado en su corazón!
