SALON DESIGN

One of the hardest things for your students to imagine is actually how it feels to work in a salon. The space is often very different to the classroom, and it can be a shock for your graduates. That’s why replicating a real salon environment is so important.

REM has a history that stretches back to 1918 and is our recommended salon design specialist. They will take you through every step of transforming your space into a salon, and help to give your students the best start in their professional career.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Definitions and Incorporation

In these terms and conditions the Seller or the Company means Sally Salon Services Limited, or any subsidiary or associated company and the Buyer means a purchaser of goods from the Seller under these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions shall apply to every order for the purchase of goods made between the Seller and the Buyer to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions that the Buyer may wish to rely upon.

Prices

The price of goods will be set out in the Company’s price list prevailing at the date of placing the order. All prices are exclusive of VAT at ruling rates and delivery costs. Prices shown are subject to change without prior notice. All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Payment

Payment is due in full to the Company prior to collection or delivery. Time for payment shall be of the essence. Deposits are non-refundable with balances due and payable in full 7 days prior to collection or delivery.

Claims for Loss or Damage in Transit

Claims for loss or damage to goods in transit will not be accepted unless the Company is advised within 48 hours of receipt of goods in the case of damage and within 48 hours of the delivery date in the case of loss.

Delivery

The Seller can arrange delivery in the event that collection is not possible. For large items and/or orders the Buyer is advised to have assistance on hand as couriers will only deliver to premises kerb side and will not enter premises or deliver up stairs. The Buyer must ensure any obstacles, such as door ways, are catered for.

If a delivery is unable to be completed for reasons outside of the control of the Seller, a second delivery charge will apply.

The times quoted (if any) are so quoted in good faith, but shall not be binding. Certain items can take up to 12 weeks to deliver.

The Company accepts no responsibility whatsoever for transport delays or circumstances outside of their control causing any delay in delivery. Charges will be at current courier rates, and quotes for individual orders will be provided upon request.

Collections

Collections should be arranged and agreed with the Seller 24 hours in advance, to allow the Seller to prepare the order.

Assembly

Please note that most equipment requires some assembly which will be the responsibility of the Buyer.

Cancellation

Prior to dispatch or collection, cancellation will only be accepted on the following terms:

• All transport and handling costs incurred by the Seller in getting the goods to the store ready for collection will be charged to the Buyer and the Buyer agrees that such charge can be deducted from any deposit monies (if any) paid on account.

• Special order items e.g. specific colours ordered or non stock items cannot be cancelled. Unpaid balances remain due and payable.

Returns

When goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, the Company may accept a return in the following circumstances and subject to the following conditions:

• A request must be made in writing to the Company within 7 days of collection or delivery

• The goods must be in their original packaging and unused

• Any refunds or credits will be subject to the deduction of a handling fee equivalent to 10% of the price of the goods being returned or all transport costs incurred by the Seller in delivering the goods to the delivery address or to the store where collection was to take place, whichever is the greater.

• Delivery costs in returning the goods to the Seller will not be refunded and are the responsibility of the Buyer. The Seller can arrange for collection of the goods at the Buyer’s cost. Additional costs will be charged by the Seller if the goods are not available for collection at the agreed time and location.

• Refunds or credits will only be given after the goods have been returned and inspected by the Company

• It is at the Company’s sole discretion whether to offer a refund or a credit

• Special order items cannot be refunded or exchanged

Risk and Title

Risk in goods passes to the Buyer on receipt by the Company or its designated carrier of a proof of delivery note signed by the Buyer or person reasonably acting on his behalf at the delivery address as stipulated on the order or on personal collection by the Buyer. The Buyer should ensure the goods are in satisfactory condition before signing as this may affect future claim that the goods were damaged in transit.

Title of goods remains with the Company until payment has been received in full in cleared funds.

The Buyer agrees that prior to full payment, the Company, or appointed agent may enter the Buyers premises to collect such goods should the Buyer fail to pay in the agreed time-frame.

Guarantee

All items are subject to the manufacturers warranty and warranty conditions. Certain restrictions apply, please ask for more details. Failure to comply with the warranty conditions will invalidate your ability to rely upon the guarantee.

Where a claim on guarantee is made it must be accompanied by the original receipt of purchase.

All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from all orders for goods supplied by the Seller to the Buyer.

The Company does not attempt to exclude its liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Liability and Limitations

The Buyer warrants that the goods will be used for professional use only.

Goods are sold on the understanding they will be used for their intended purpose. No responsibility will be accepted by the Company for the misuse of equipment or furniture by trained or untrained personnel.

The Company shall have no liability to the Buyer for damage to goods caused by incorrect installation by the Buyer or its agents or if the goods have been tampered with or have had parts added to them which are not original and/or have not been authorised by the Company or the manufacturer.

The Company is not liable for damage to goods caused by normal wear and tear.

Fragile items (eg glass or mirror) and/or consumable items (eg neon lights and bulbs) should be inspected immediately upon receipt and any defects should be notified to the Seller within 48 hours of receipt. Failure to do so will invalidate the Buyer’s warranty rights for these components.

The Company’s total liability for any claims howsoever arising shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by the Company to the Buyer which are the subject matter of that claim.

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss (including but not limited to loss of business and/or loss of goodwill) whether the loss arises from a breach of duty in contract or in any other way.

General

All goods are subject to availability.

The Seller and Buyer do not intend that any of these terms and conditions shall be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person other than the Seller and Buyer or any company within the Seller’s group of companies.

The Seller may assign its rights under these terms and conditions. The Buyer has no reciprocal rights of assignment.

Any dispute or claim shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the Seller and Buyer agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
