Cover Graphic designerA vision on earth
Desertification, floods, melting glaciers, global warming, pollution and water scarcity are all climate change phenomenas that threaten our Planet.
This exhibition gives a glimpse of the critical condition of Planet Earth, presenting artworks inspired by the Egyptian and Roman civilizations, who were once a united empire, today need to come together and join their efforts for the future of the Planet. On the occasion of the "United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27" artists were called to express, through their work of art, their vision on Earth. Some created artwork with recycled material and environmentalfriendly sculptures, while other pieces represented animals and plants prone to extinction, showcasing the fascinating, yet fragile biodiversity of our Planet.
The art pieces were exhibited “en plein air”, in the gardens of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Rome, in dialogue with nature, while questioning with a sense of urgency the impact of climate change on various aspects of our lives, suggesting new means of communication between art and environment.
Some of the art objects are inspired by the Roman culture, wether in the choice of material, or through their concept, while some pieces reflect the Egyptian cultural heritage embodied and found all over the eternal city. With this interdisciplinary approach, the pieces exhibit different strategies in addressing the climate crisis, from direct confrontation to thought-provoking poetic approach.
Cubo è terra, metriche forme è l’acqua, spuma fluente, ghiaccio che bolle, aria respira, diventa cielo e nuvole e pioggia, piena su piena, grandine, oasi. Eterea.
