Meet the Roller Girls! Join Metromix and the Jersey Shore Roller Girls tonight at Langosta Lounge for a special meet + greet happy hour and photo shoot from 5:30 - 7:30. After that, at 8pm it’s Surftastic Thursdays @ Langosta [every Thursday nite], with Squid + Beer specials and surf flicks screening at the bar. Merle Allen @ Corazza
Fierce Local Fashion
Inspired by Ansel Adams + Robert Mapplethorpe’s works and influenced by his being raised on an Oklahoma farm, Photographer Merle Allen has also travelled the globe with the Navy, capturing beautiful images all along the way. Currently residing in New Jersey, Merle joins us tonight for a reception at Corazza Modern [1st Ave Pavillion on the AP Boardwalk], where he’ll be exhibiting selected works from 6:30 - 9:30pm. Tonight’s Bonfire on the Beach will be hosted by Watermark [1st Ave Pavillion] beginning at 7pm [weather permitting]. “Done the Watermark way”, with plans to add some tribal music flair with a soundtrack of live percussionists.
The Pride Network: Asbury Park Chapter will present it’s 1st Fall Fashion Show tonight at Convention Hall on the boardwalk beginning at 8:45. Featuring the clothing of local Asbury stores Bird, B Unique, etc., and Style Rocket, this promises to be a fun show, complete with voguers and drag performances. Refreshments served. $5 suggested donation.
