Oops I Did It Again It’s Mischief Night, but before you start prankin’, pop by B Unique Clothing [723 Cookman] and see the awesome new Pin-Up artwork series on display by Tattoo Mag’s illustrator Ed Mironiuk. Across the street, The ShowRoom’s got Thriller Theatre in full swing all weekend, with the NJ Film Alliance screening of “MakeOut With Violence” [8pm] and the hit Brit lo-budget indie zombie film “Colin” @ 10pm tonight [more film info + trailers on beachblog.me].
Cause This Is Thriller The Thriller Theatre Marathon continues all day long @ The ShowRoom [1-8:30pm], and Downtown Asbury is alive with Halloween activities for all ages at many of it’s shops + restaurants . There’s even a Pet Parade sponsored by Asbury Bark [2pm]. Paranormal Books [627 Cookman] is your command central for up-tothe-minute info on everything that’s going on here today.
Ready to Play? There’s one spot in town that’s a favorite of all the neighborhood children and families in Asbury Park and this year, it promises to be it’s scariest year yet! Aww Mama’s Jill Potter lovingly gives back every year at her Sunset Avenue home, going all out with her many friends and volunteers to entertain the local kids. They’ve built a bloody Saw-inspired HorrorFest this year that’s not for the weak at heart- drive by and have a look and enter if you dare!
No Day Like Today
On the boardwalk, Beach Bar hosts the Last Taste of Summer beach bonfire party beginning at dusk, with music by deSol + fireworks. Plus, The Zombeatles perform at Asbury Lane’s Mischief Night Party after 9:30... now that sounds like trouble!
By the sea,Trick or Treat your way though all the Boardwalk shops + restaurants and join in the Children’s Parade beginning @ 2pm from the Casino Arcade. Adults can get their candy on too @ Candyteria [1st Ave Pavillion], home to 400+ varieties of retro and designer sweets!

APFI Dinner + A Movie You might be off to a late start Back and bigger than ever, today, but no worries...a stop the AP Film Initiative begins their 2nd Annual series this @ Plan B [705 Cookman] will evening of popular classic, fix you right up with their indie + documentary films, special Halloween Hangover with a brand new line-up of Brunch, served today until restaurants and wider array of 3pm. venues.
Downtown, the Annual Parade begins @ 8pm through AP, ending by The Berkeley Hotel just in time for the start of Pyramid Productions “The Shining” costume bash @ 9pm.
After that, you still have time to catch the final performance of NENA Productions Theatre Project’s RENT @ the Jersey Shore Arts Center in nearby Ocean Grove [Bway + Main]. The full stage version of Jonathan Larson’s hit musical, directed by award winning director Nick Montessano, will be presented @ 3pm.
