Night of the Arts Our Collide-A-Scope monthly downtown arts event returns tonite, beginning with an Arts Happy Hour @ Market in the Middle [516 Cookman] from 6 7pm. While you’re there, catch the display of work by Jenny Calamonari-DiZefalo and Hoboken painter Lou Carbone. Guided tour starts after, or just check out the galleries on your own. Of Note: Tragically Delicious @ Parlor Gallery, Ed Mironiuk @ B Unique Clothing [photo], and Ray Sternesky’s Watercolors @ Heaven. At 9pm, Mini-Midnite Vultures. DJ Jimmie D spins all your punk/rock favorites at The Annex [530 Cookman].
Rock n’ Roller Girls Join the Jersey Shore Roller Girls tonite for the screening of “Hell on Wheels” @ The ShowRoom, 10pm. The film documents the creation of the 1st modern-era women’s roller derby league, The Lonestar Rollergirls. Our local 3 year old league will be on hand to introduce the film plus talk about their personal derby experiences and explain the sport to the audience in the Q +A following the film. Next week, Nov 28, the JSRG has their final bout of the season @ Convention Hall - save your ticket stub from tonite + recieve $5 of the $20 admission! Tomorrow nite, The ShowRoom hosts a special fundraising screening @ 4:30pm of owners Mike + Nancy’s doc “Rock and a Heart Place” to benefit Tim McLoone’s ‘Holiday Express’.
