Magic Breakfast’s Big Breakfast

Magic Breakfast is a charity that delivers free breakfasts to schoolchildren facing hunger every day. Having a healthy breakfast is crucial for children to concentrate during lessons, which means hungry children aren’t learning at their best. They need fuel to focus, learn and thrive.

With the cost of many things, such as food and electricity going up, more families are struggling to afford everything they need. There are even studies that show one in four children don’t have enough to eat. That’s why charities such as Magic Breakfast are so important.

Great Big Breakfast 2023

From Monday 17 to Sunday 30 April, Magic Breakfast will be celebrating their favourite meal of the day. You can join in by fundraising for the Great Big Breakfast at home, school or church.

At home – choose a date between 17 and 30 April to ask some guests over for breakfast. It can be anyone you like –friends, family or neighbours. Just make sure you ask your parents or carers rst! It’s free to sign up, but Magic Breakfast do ask for a £3 donation if your family is able to. You can raise extra money by asking your guests to donate a small amount too. A donation of £3 can provide two weeks of nutritious breakfasts for a schoolchild.

All of the above applies for a school breakfast event too. Talk to your teacher about holding an awareness or fundraising event. It could be for your class or your whole school. The more the merrier!

At church – why not ask your church leaders to hold a breakfast event too? It doesn’t matter where you have breakfast as long as you’re raising money, having fun and enjoying spending time together.
