LOVE IS WHAT YOU GIVE
The call of the gospel
My best friend
We have a gospel that matches the hour, We have discovered the true source of power, Man is a weakling, but he can be strong, Choosing the right and refusing the wrong. Man has no meaning, no purpose, no soul, Till he discovers that God is his goal. This is the gospel that claims all our powers, This is good news for this age of ours. John Gowans
My best friend is the best in the world! He’ll cheer you up when your bottom lip’s curled. He’ll make you smile, that I can guarantee, My best friend’s name is Jesus!
(Martin Cordner)
Just where he needs me
(Miriam Richards/Andrew Mair) What can I say to cheer a world of sorrow? How bring back hope where men have sorely failed? Just where I am I’ll speak the word of comfort, Tell how for me Christ’s sacrifice availed. Just where he needs me, my Lord has placed me, Just where he needs me, there would I be! And since he found me, by love he’s bound me, To serve him joyfully.
(Amy McMillan)
Although I cannot see him I know he is there, And when I want to talk to him I do it through prayer. He’s never too busy to listen to me, I don’t need to worry, I can be carefree. 2. When I am really trying to spread your word, Some people start to laugh at me and think I’m absurd. But inside I know I should try to stay strong. ‘Cause you’re always with me I just can’t go wrong. Amy McMillan
2. What can I do to ease life’s heavy burdens? What can I do to help mankind in need? Just where I am I’ll share my neighbour’s hardship, Lighten his load, and prove a friend indeed. 3. What can I do to justify my living? What can I be to make this life worthwhile? I’ll be a voice to call men to the Saviour, Just where I am, and win my Father’s smile. Miriam Richards
