Saltwater Deck Wash Pump Systems

The Deck Wash Pump Systems illustrated below are divided into three typical installations:

Simply make a choice of the most suitable Deck Wash Pump , by flow rate and voltage (refer to page 6).

Add a choice of filter and tail kit , applicable to the relevant plumbing system (refer to page 7).

Add a hose coil kit for direct attachment to the pump (refer to page 8) or hose coil and flush link kit (refer to page 10), applicable to the relevant plumbing system.

Add a push timer tap and installation kit (refer to page 12), applicable to the relevant plumbing system.

Add a choice of water pick-up kit (refer to page 13) or water pick-up with dual port live bait pump kit (refer to page 15), applicable to the relevant plumbing system.

All you need to complete the system installation as per the diagrams, is the flexible hose and hose clamps or DMfit® QC Tubing. The necessary connectors are included in the respective kits.

Filter Kits - Deck Wash Inlet

Swivel Nut 15mm O.D. DMfit® QC Tubing

• A filter must be fitted on the inlet side of all Shurflo® deck wash pumps to prevent entry of debris to the pump body.

• The filter must be mounted above the waterline to prevent syphoning during cleaning, without closing the inlet valve.

• If DMfit® QC Tubing is used on the inlet, Shurflo® recommends the pump inlet port is plumbed with a minimum of 300mm of flexible PVC pressure hose.

• Swivel nut filters are mounted directly to the pump inlet port.

• Each kit includes - filter, pump inlet and outlet tails or DMfit® connectors where applicable. Other flexible hose and hose clamps or DMfit® QC Tubing is not included.

• 1/2" I.D. flexible PVC hose and 12mm DMfit® QC Tubing plumbing systems are not recommended for use with the Shurflo® ProBlaster 18.9L/min pressure pumps.

The new Push Tap with Timer is ideal when your hands are full or you just can’t reach the water. Simply push the button with your knee to start the timer and it automatically shuts off the water after 8 seconds, making it ideal for cleaning hands, bait boards and utensils. NOTE: We recommend flushing with fresh water if sea water has been pumped through the tap.

If fitted in a system incorporating a flush link, the timer tap can be flushed with fresh water by connecting a 23891 adaptor with faucet to the flush link, screwing on a 45339N snap-on hose adaptor, fitting a standard snap-on garden hose and carefully pressuring the system by minimally opening the faucet. The flush tap can then be activated, flushing it out with fresh water. Refer the practical use video available via the QR code.

O.D. DMfit® QC Tubing

• A filter must be fitted on the inlet side of all Shurflo® deck wash pumps to prevent entry of debris to the pump body.

• The filter must be mounted above the waterline to prevent syphoning during cleaning, without closing the inlet valve.

• If DMfit® QC Tubing is used on the inlet, Shurflo® recommends the pump inlet port is plumbed with a minimum of 300mm of flexible PVC pressure hose.

• Standard inlet filters are mounted remotely from the pump inlet port.

• Swivel nut filters are mounted directly to the pump inlet port.

Designed and made in New Zealand, the Skin Fitting body and nut are moulded from a glass-reinforced nylon composite.
